Abstract
Latar Belakang: Konsumsi makanan yang tidak sehat, seperti makanan cepat saji yang tinggi kalori, tinggi lemak, tinggi gula, dan rendah serat, dapat memengaruhi keseimbangan hormonal dalam tubuh. Pola makan yang tidak seimbang dapat menyebabkan perubahan berat badan yang signifikan, yang dapat mempengaruhi siklus menstruasi.
Tujuan Penelitian: Tujuan umum dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mencari ada tidaknya hubungan pola konsumsi makanan berlemak dengan siklus menstruasi pada Mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.
Metodelogi: Cross-sectional sampling akan digunakan pada penelitian ini sebagai metode pengumpulan sampel dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi peneliti untuk mendapatkan kelompok tertentu yang dianggap paling relevan.
Hasil: Dari 52 sampel Mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan terdapat 21 sampel (48.1%) yang mengkonsumsi makanan berlemak dalam batas tidak normal dan 26 sampel yang memiliki siklus menstruasi yang tidak normal. Dari uji chi square didapatkan adanya hubungan antara konsumsi lemak dengan siklus menstruasi (p < 0,001) pada Mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.
Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi lemak dengan siklus menstruasi pada Mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.

Background: Consuming unhealthy foods, such as fast food that is high in calories, fat, and sugar and low in fibre, can affect hormonal balance in the body. An unbalanced diet can cause significant weight changes, affecting the menstrual cycle.
Research Objective: This research aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between food consumption patterns and the menstrual cycle in female students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
Methodology: Cross-sectional sampling was used in this research as a sample collection method, with the researcher's inclusion and exclusion criteria to obtain certain groups considered most relevant.
Results: From the 52 samples of female students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University, there were 21 samples (48.1%) who consumed fatty foods within abnormal limits and 26 samples who had abnormal menstrual cycles. From the chi square test, it was found that there was a relationship between fat consumption and the menstrual cycle (p < 0.001) in female students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
Conclusion: This study found a significant relationship between fat consumption and the menstrual cycle in female students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
