Abstract
penduduk. Tingginya jumlah penduduk dapat menimbulkan permasalahan salah
satunya yaitu ketidaksejahteraan masyarakat.
Kata kunci: Akseptor KB, Pasangan Usia Ssubur, Pemilihan Kontrasepsi / Background: Indonesia's population continues to increase every year, reaching
278.696 million by mid-2023. This makes Indonesia ranked 4th in the worldometer
based on population. The high population can cause problems, one of the problems
that arise is the welfare of the community. Contraception is an important method in
preventing pregnancy used by men and women in couples of childbearing ages.
there are many types of contraceptive methods available resulting in family
planning acceptors sometimes confused about choosing the right type of
contraception for themselves. According to Green and Kreuter's theory, factors that
can play a role are predisposing factors, supporting factors and motivating factors.
The purpose of this study was to determine what factors influence the selection of
iud contraceptives, injections, and pills in birth control acceptors at the Duren
Sawit Public Health Center.
Objective: To identify the factors influencing the use of IUDs, oral contraceptive
pills, and injectable contraceptives among reproductive-age women visiting Duren
Sawit Community Health Center
Method: The study was a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design. Sample
selection using accidental sampling technique on all KB acceptor patients at the
Duren Sawit Health Center totaling 75 respondents. Data collection is planned to
be carried out in January-April 2024 using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed
using univariable and bivariable analysis with chi-square test.
Result: A total of 78 samples met the inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed a
significant correlation between education level, income, and spousal support in
the selection of IUDs, oral contraceptive pills, and injectable contraceptives.
Notably,35.9% (28 individuals) of the reproductive-age women used long-acting
reversible contraceptives (IUDs), while 23.1% (25 individuals) opted for shortacting methods (pills and injections). Among the seven variables examined,
respondents with higher education (diploma, bachelor's, master's), higher
income (above Rp5,000,000), and strong spousal support were more inclined to choose IUDs as
their contraceptive method compared to pills and injections.
Conclusion: This study found a significant correlation between
education, income, and spousal support regarding the choice of IUD,oral
contraceptive pills, and injectable contraceptives among reproductive-age women
visiting Duren Sawit Community Health Center. These findings suggest that a
higher quality of life among women of reproductive age is associated with an
increased preference for IUDs, a contraceptive method with high efficacy in
preventing pregnancy and minimal side effects.
