Abstract
Ketersediaan dari spare part sesuai dengan spesifikasi kabel yang hendak diproduksi merupakan tanggung jawab yang dipegang oleh bagian process engineering. Setelah dilakukan pengamatan di lapangan, diamati bahwa proses peminjaman yang dilakukan di bagian process engineering dilakukan secara manual oleh operator dengan cara menulis form kosong peminjaman tools. Form peminjaman alat (tools) yang sudah selesai diproses akan ditumpuk terlebih dahulu untuk kemudian di-input untuk perekapan di komputer. Pada proses ini ditemukan beberapa masalah lanjutan yaitu mengenai kurangnya man power di bagian process engineering yang mengakibatkan menumpuknya form peminjaman alat (tools) yang harus di-input. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis proses peminjaman dan pengembalian alat (tools) di process engineering saat ini untuk mencari pemborosan (waste) yang ditemukan kemudian memberikan usulan dan penerapannya pada bagian process engineering. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis pemborosan dengan pendekatan lean manufacturing menggunakan big picture mapping sebagai dasar perancangan aplikasi penyimpanan alat berbasis database yang mengelola data peminjaman alat sehingga mudah dicari dan digunakan oleh operator. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa proses peminjaman dan pengembalian alat (tools) di process engineering saat ini dilakukan secara manual yang diisi oleh satu orang operator dan direkapitulasi ulang menggunakan komputer oleh operator yang sama di process engineering. Pada proses peminjaman dan pengembalian alat (tools) saat ini pemborosan yang ditemukan adalah: Overprocessing, Inventory, Motion, dan Waiting. Dari analisis yang telah dilakukan, untuk menghilangkan pemborosan (waste), peneliti melakukan perubahan dengan merancang aplikasi yang dapat menghilangkan pemborosan (waste) dengan fungsi sebagai penyimpanan, rekam jejak, dan rekapitulasi data penyimpanan dan peminjaman alat. Berdasarkan uji t yang telah dilakukan hasil nilai thit = 81,111 > ttabel = 2,04523 sehingga disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada perbandingan data waktu kerja peminjaman alat di process engineering sebelum dan sesudah penelitian. / The availability of spare parts according to the specifications of the cable to be produced is the responsibility of the process engineering department. The condition and location of the spare parts are parameters controlled by the process engineering department. After conducting observations in the field, it was observed that the borrowing process carried out in the process engineering department was carried out manually by the operator by writing a blank tool borrowing form. The tool borrowing form that has been processed will be stacked first and then inputted for recapitulation on the computer. In this process, several further problems were found, namely the lack of manpower in the process engineering department which resulted in the accumulation of tool borrowing forms that had to be inputted. The purpose of this study was to analyze the process of borrowing and returning tools in the current process engineering to find waste found and then provide suggestions and their application in the process engineering department. This study was conducted by analyzing waste with a lean manufacturing approach using big picture mapping as the basis for designing a database-based tool storage application that manages tool borrowing data so that it is easy to find and use by operators. The results of this study found that the process of borrowing and returning tools in process engineering is currently done manually using a borrowing and returning form filled out by one operator and recapitulated using a computer by the same operator in process engineering. In the current process of borrowing and returning tools, the waste found is as follows: Overprocessing, Inventory, Motion, and Waiting. From the analysis that has been done, to eliminate waste, the researcher made changes by designing an application that can eliminate waste with the function of storing, recording, and recapitulating data on storing and borrowing tools. Based on the t-test that has been carried out, the results of the t-value = 81.111> t-table = 2.04523 so it is concluded that there is a significant difference in the comparison of tool borrowing work time data in process engineering before and after the study.
