Abstract

Perceraian sebagai fenomena sosial yang kompleks tidak hanya mengubah struktur keluarga tetapi juga membawa dampak emosional dan psikologis yang signifikan bagi anak, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran komunikasi keluarga pasca-perceraian dalam membentuk ketahanan emosional anak dan membantu mereka menghadapi dinamika internal serta tekanan sosial, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap tujuh informan (orang tua dan anak dari keluarga bercerai) dan observasi non-verbal untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi yang efektif, di mana hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang jujur, empatik, dan berkelanjutan antara orang tua dan anak mampu memperkuat adaptasi anak terhadap perubahan keluarga dan mengurangi dampak negatif stigma sosial, sementara kurangnya komunikasi terbuka berpotensi memicu krisis identitas dan perilaku menyimpang, dengan temuan utama yang mencakup pentingnya observational learning (pembelajaran melalui pengamatan) dan self-efficacy (keyakinan diri) dalam kerangka Social Cognitive Theory (Bandura, 1986) untuk memahami bagaimana anak menginternalisasi nilai-nilai dan strategi koping dari interaksi keluarga, sementara tantangan eksternal seperti stereotip masyarakat dan tekanan di lingkungan sekolah juga turut memengaruhi pembentukan identitas sosial anak, meskipun penelitian ini memiliki batasan dalam hal jumlah sampel yang terbatas dan tidak mencakup variasi budaya atau latar belakang sosio-ekonomi yang lebih luas, sehingga implikasi praktisnya mencakup rekomendasi bagi orang tua untuk mengadopsi komunikasi suportif, bagi pendidik untuk menciptakan lingkungan inklusif, dan bagi pemerintah untuk merancang kebijakan yang mendukung keluarga pasca-perceraian, sementara kontribusi teoritisnya terletak pada penguatan pemahaman tentang komunikasi sebagai alat vital dalam membangun resiliensi anak di tengah perubahan struktur keluarga. / Divorce as a complex social phenomenon not only alters family structure but also carries significant emotional and psychosocial impacts for children, prompting this study to explore the role of post-divorce family communication in shaping children's emotional resilience and helping them cope with internal dynamics and social pressures, using a qualitative phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews with seven informants (parents and children from divorced families) and non-verbal observation to analyze effective communication patterns, where research findings reveal that honest, empathetic, and continuous communication between parents and children strengthens children's adaptation to family changes and mitigates the negative effects of social stigma, while lack of open communication may trigger identity crises and deviant behaviors, with key findings highlighting the importance of observational learning and self-efficacy within Bandura's (1986) Social Cognitive Theory framework to understand how children internalize values and coping strategies from family interactions, while external challenges such as societal stereotypes and school environment pressures also influence children's social identity formation, though this study has limitations in its small sample size and lack of broader cultural or socio-economic diversity, thus practical implications include recommendations for parents to adopt supportive communication, educators to create inclusive environments, and policymakers to design divorce-supportive policies, while its theoretical contribution lies in strengthening understanding of communication as a vital tool in building children's resilience amidst changing family structures.
