Abstract

Latar Belakang: Durasi berkendara motor menunjukkan volume paparan polusi udara yang dialami oleh seorang individu, sedangkan polusi udara dan PM 2.5 diketahui dapat memicu dan memperburuk PPOK. Walaupun demikian, hasil dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya mengenai dampak dari durasi berkendara motor terhadap tingkat dampak PPOK belum konsisten, sehingga perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara durasi berkendara motor terhadap dampak PPOK menggunakan COPD Assessment Test (CAT) pada pasien PPOK di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik komparatif kategorik, dan desain studi potong lintang. Uji statistik yang digunakkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Fisher-Exact. Hasil: Dari 37 responden yang terkumpul, hubungan dari durasi berkendara motor terhadap dampak PPOK tidak signifikan dengan p-value sebesar 0,414. Saat tingkat dampak dikategorikan kembali hingga menjadi dua saja, hasil p-value sebesar 1 yang menunjukkan tidak bermakna. Akan tetapi, terlihat nilai Odds Ratio menunjukkan bahwa individu yang pernah mengendarai motor ≥4 jam per hari mempunyai 1,28 kali lipat kemungkinan untuk mengalami perkembangan dampak PPOK. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara hubungan antara durasi berkendara motor terhadap dampak PPOK menggunakan COPD Assessment Test (CAT), tetapi durasi berkendara lebih lama mempunyai kemungkinan lebih tinggi untuk meningkatkan dampak PPOK. Kata Kunci: Durasi Berkendara Motor, Polusi Udara, PPOK, CAT / Background: The duration of motorcycling riding reflects the amount of air pollution that an individual could experience, while air pollution and PM 2.5 is known to trigger and aggravate COPD. Even so, the outcome of previous studies have been inconsistent and further research is needed. Objective: To determine the relationship between the duration of motorcycle riding and the impact of COPD measured using COPD Assessment Test (CAT) in COPD patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village. Methodology: This study will use the analytical method of categorical comparison with cross-sectional research method. The statistical test that is used is Fisher’s Exact. Results: Of the 37 respondents, the relationship between motorcycle riding to the impact of COPD is not significant with the p-value of 0,414. When the impact of COPD is categorized into two, the relationship is still not significant with the p-value of 1. However, the Odds Ratio shows that individuals that have ridden the motorcycle ≥4 per day has 1.28 times the chance of experiencing the development of the impact of COPD. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship found between the duration of motorcycle riding to the impact of COPD measured using COPD Assessment Test (CAT), but longer durations of motorcycle riding has a greater chance of developing aggravate the impact of COPD.
