The crisis that have been faced by Greek, which is wll-known as sovereign debt crisis, happened as the accumulation of Greek government’s debts. Realizing that the contagious effects of Greek sovereign debt crisis could threaten European Union’s financial stability, especially the stability of Eurozone, European Union gave bailout for helping the Greek government solved the crisis. The solution offered by European Union to solve the crisis is managed in European Adjustment Programme mechanism, which obliged Greek Government to do the austerity maeasures. Like a double-edged knife, the implemented EAP absolutely give implications, either positive or negative implications, especially on economical, social, and political aspects. The datas are gained through literature revierw and depth-interview with Greek economic experts and the representative of the Embassy of Greece in Jakarta. Data is gained from the official website of the Greek government bodies and Europan Union in order to support its validity. The analysis is conducted through narrative and illustrative methods. Based on the datas and analysis, the interaction that happened between Greek government and European Union in solving the sovereign debt crisis, is really influenced by many interests, either Greek government’s interests or European Union’s interests, especially the great member-states. The interaction that could be seen in the implementation of Economic Adjustment Programme (EAP) has also influenced the economical, social, and political aspects of Greece. This research is also tries to analyze how an international liberal institution, such as European Union, can give influence to country’s policies.
