Abstract

Proses produksi semen menghasilkan banyak gas CO2. Oleh karena hal tersebut para ahli melakukan penelitian untuk mencari material lain yang memiliki kemampuan seperti semen sebagai perekat pada beton. Pasta geopolimer merupakan salah satu material yang lebih ramah lingkungan dan dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti semen. Selain itu, material pozzolan yang digunakan merupakan limbah B3 sehingga dapat mengurangi pencemaran. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan karakteristik, kuat tekan dengan kuat tarik dan kuat lentur pada beton geopolimer dan beton normal. Beberapa perbandingan karakteristik antara beton geopolimer dan beton normal adalah keduanya memiliki material yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan pekerja, yaitu debu semen, debu abu terbang dan larutan NaOH. Durasi setting time beton geopolimer sekitar 30-60 menit, sedangkan beton normal sekitar 2-3 jam. Workability beton geopolimer lebih rendah dibanding beton normal. Sifat viskositas beton geopolimer lebih tinggi dibanding beton normal dan lebih sulit dipadatkan / ditumbuk. Beton geopolimer dapat diplester menggunakan mortar. Setelah setting time beton geopolimer berakhir, beton normal tidak dapat disambung dengan beton geopolimer. Modulus of elasticity beton geopolimer lebih rendah dibanding beton normal. Bonding beton geopolimer dan normal dengan baja tulangan yang dinilai secara visual adalah baik. Perbandingan kuat tarik dengan kuat tekan pada beton geopolimer sebesar 9,265% dan 8,542%, sedangkan pada beton normal sebesar 10,869% dan 13,773%. Beton normal memiliki perbandingan kuat tarik yang lebih besar. Perbandingan momen ultimate teoritis dan momen ultimate aktual pada beton normal sebesar 21,58 % dan 14,576 %, sedangkan pada beton geopolimer sebesar 24,725 % dan 15,337 %. Balok beton normal serta beton geopolimer memiliki perbandingan momen ultimate teoritis dan momen ultimate aktual yang hampir sama. Pada benda uji hasil uji lentur menunjukkan pola retak yang sama antara beton normal dan beton geopolimer. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat beton geopolimer dapat diimplementasikan pada dunia konstruksi./The cement production process produces a lot of CO2 gas. Because of this the experts conducted research to find other materials that have the ability such as cement as an adhesive in concrete. Geopolymer paste is one of the more environmentally friendly materials and can be used as a substitute for cement. In addition, the pozzolan material used is B3 waste so as to reduce pollution. This study compares the characteristics, compressive strength with tensile strength and flexural strength in geopolymer concrete and normal concrete. Some comparison of characteristics between geopolymer concrete and normal concrete are that both have hazardous material for the health of workers, namely cement dust, fly ash dust and NaOH solution. The setting time for geopolymer concrete is around 30-60 minutes, while normal concrete is around 2-3 hours. Workability of geopolymer concrete is lower than normal concrete. The viscosity properties of geopolymer concrete are higher than normal concrete and more difficult to be compacted / crushed. Geopolymer concrete can be plastered using mortar. After the setting time of the geopolymer concrete ends, normal concrete cannot be connected with geopolymer concrete. The modulus of elasticity of geopolymer concrete is lower than that of normal concrete. Bonding geopolymer and normal concrete with visually assessed reinforcing steel is good. Comparison of tensile strength with compressive strength in geopolymer concrete is 9.265% and 8.542%, while in normal concrete is 10.869% and 13.773%. Normal concrete has a greater tensile strength ratio. The comparison of theoretical ultimate moments and actual ultimate moments in normal concrete is 21.58% and 14.576%, while in geopolymer concrete is 24.725% and 15.333%. Normal concrete beams and geopolymer concrete have almost the same ratio of theoretical ultimate moments and actual ultimate moments. The flexural test results showed the same crack pattern between normal concrete and geopolymer concrete. Based on the results obtained geopolymer concrete can be implemented in the construction world.
