Abstract

Background: The total number of elderly in Indonesia increases every year and leads to advancing degenerative disease, such as dementia. Formerly, memory clinic was centered onto establishing diagnostic for dementia, but nowadays it involves in treating post-diagnostically and coordination in long-term treatment of dementia. It requires a constancy and submission to memory clinic. However, up to these days memory clinic yet still facing some kind of obstacles that might let people be disobedient to their follow-up routine. Aim: To understand the factors that associate dementia’s patient to follow up in Memory and Aging Clinic Siloam Hospital Lippo Village. Methods: The study will be using cross sectional design which patient as the correspondent will be chosen non-randomly. Patients has been asked to fill in the questioner that contains question about factors that could be associated. This study is tested statistically using chi square method with P-value <0.05 is significant. Result: Domicile showed up to be significantly associate to dementia’s patients to follow-up in Memory and Aging Clinic Siloam Hospital Lippo Village (p = 0,014). Conclusion: There is a significant association between domicile and patient’s follow up / Latar Belakang: Jumlah populasi lanjut usia di Indonesia yang semakin meningkat menyebabkan tingginya penyakit degeneratif, termasuk demensia. Dahulu klinik memori berpusat pada penegakkan diagnosis demensia, namun saat ini semakin terlibat dalam pengobatan pasca diagnosis dan koordinasi dalam perawatan jangka panjang penyandang demensia. Dibutuhkan kepatuhan dalam kunjungan rutin ke klinik memori. Namun pasien masih tidak patuh dalam kunjungan rutin. Tujuan: Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan kunjungan rutin pasien demensia di klinik memori Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang dan pasien sebagai koresponden dipilih secara tidak acak. Koresponden mengisi kuisioner yang berisi tentang faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi. Penelitian ini telah di uji secara vtatistic menggunakan metode Chi square dengan P-value <0.05 adalah hasil yang dignifikan. Hasil: Domisili mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan kunjungan rutin pasien demensia ke klinik memori Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village (p = 0,014). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara domisili dan kepatuhan kunjugan rutin pasien.
