Semakin berkembangnya teknologi di era digital membuat penerapan sistem informasi menjadi marak digunakan diberbagai kehidupan masyarakat, dilihat dari fungsi dan kebutuhannya. Dengan hadirnya sistem informasi tentunya akan mempermudah proses dari suatu aktivitas tertentu. Pengelolaan, manajerial, serta proses peminjaman akan lebih mudah dan terstruktur apabila menerapkan sistem infomasi yang baik dan benar. Pada Departemen Fasilitas, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) saat ini, seluruh rangkaian peminjaman, baik peminjaman ruangan, barang, maupun transportasi masih dilakukan secara manual dengan mengajukan formulir peminjaman yang harus diambil terlebih dahulu di kantor Departemen Fasilitas, dan mengajukan formulir peminjaman tersebut kepada beberapa pihak seperti ketua program studi, Departemen Fasilitas, Student life serta pihak keamanan. Dengan menggunakan metode peminjaman saat ini, pihak Departemen Fasilitas maupun mahasiswa masih memiliki beberapa kendala. Oleh karena itu, pembuatan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan sistem berbasis web guna mengelola peminjaman barang, ruangan, maupun transportasi pada Departemen Fasilitas dengan menggunakan metodologi Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang dirancang pada Brackets menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). Dalam pengembangan sistem yang dilakukan menggunakan pemodelan Unified Modeling Language 2.5 (UML 2.5) dengan use case, activity diagram, dan class diagram. Dengan dibuatnya sistem manajemen barang, ruangan, serta transportasi ini guna mempermudah pihak Departemen Fasilitas untuk mengatur seluruh alur proses peminjaman yang terjadi, juga mempermudah mahasiswa untuk melakukan peminjaman untuk kegiatan yang diselenggarakannya. / The development of technology prominently in the digital era has made incremental changes to the application of information systems; where it is becoming a trending tool that is both useful and functional in people's lives. Information systems are made to ease the processes of a certain activity. For instance, processes in terms of management and supervision are made more convenient and structural if a proper design of information systems is implemented. In regards to borrowing items and renting a classroom or a form of transportation, the Department of Facilities in Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) at the time still undergo a manual method where a request form must be acquired in the Department of Facilities office and then filled and submitted to the related parties such as the dean of the study program, the Department of Facilities, Student life association, as well as the security. The existing method had multiple limitations that are experienced by both the Department of Facilities and the students. Therefore, this final project is designed to a web-based system to manage the borrowing of items and room and transportation renting that is provided by the Department of Facilities. The system was developed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) is chosen as the programming language to develop the website. The system is modeled with Unified Modeling Language 2.5 (UML 2.5) where there will be a presentation of a use case diagram, sets of activity diagram, and a class diagram. The outcome of the system is to ease the process of borrowing items and classroom and transportation renting for both the students and the Department of Facilities as the entire flow of the borrowing process that occurs is regulated.
