Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju membuat perusahaan-perusahaan berlomba-lomba untuk memanfaatkan sistem informasi untuk mendukung proses bisnis yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Adapun penerapan sistem informasi dalam perusahaan digunakan untuk mendukung aktivitas-aktivitas yang terjadi di dalam perusahaan, seperti contohnya adalah reservasi, periklanan, dan pengolahan data perusahaan. PT Maju Terus merupakan sebuah perusahaan di Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat, yang bergerak dibidang jasa layanan angkutan umum darat. Pada proses bisnisnya, perusahaan ini belum mengenal penerapan sistem informasi. Semua kegiatan reservasi yang berlangsung antara perusahaan dan calon penumpang masih menggunakan cara konvensional, yang di mana calon penumpang harus mendatangi ataupun menghubungi perusahaan untuk melakukan reservasi. Pencatatan reservasi yang dilakukan perusahaan juga belum terpusat yang di mana menyebabkan proses reservasi menjadi tidak efektif dan efisien. Oleh kerena itu, pembuatan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan dan implementasi aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat membuat proses reservasi yang terjadi pada PT Maju Terus akan menjadi efektif dan efsien. Sistem berbasis web ini akan dibangun menggunakan metodologi Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang menggunakan bahasa pemograman Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). Dalam perancangan sistem usulan ini akan digunakan pemodelan Unified Modeling Language 2.5 (UML 2.5) dengan use case, activity diagram, dan class diagram, yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan alur dan hak akses yang dimiliki oleh sistem usulan. Dengan dibuatnya aplikasi reservasi tiket berbasis web ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah proses reservasi yang terjadi antara PT Maju Terus dan calon pengguna jasa. Dengan adanya sistem ini juga diharapkan perusahaan dapat meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi dari proses reservasi yang diselenggarakan / The development of increasingly advanced technology makes companies vying to take advantage of information systems to support business processes performed by the company. The application of information systems to the company cannot be separated from the benefits that can be obtained, with the application of information systems in the company will facilitate the process of certain activities, such as advertising, reservation, and processing of corporate data. PT Maju Terus is a company in Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat, which is engaged in land public transportation services. In the business process, the company is not familiar with the application of information systems, all reservation activities that take place between companies and prospective passengers still use conventional methods, in which prospective passengers must visit or contact the company to make reservations. The data from the reservation recording has not been centralized so reservation process that occurs within the company are not effective and efficient. Therefore, the making of this final project aims to design and implement a webbased system which can make a reservation process that occurs at PT Maju Terus to be more effective and efficient. This web-based system will be built using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology that uses the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language. Unified Modeling Language 2.5 (UML 2.5) will be used to model the sistem with use cases, activity diagrams, and class diagrams, which aims to describe the flow and access rights owned by the proposed system. With the creation of a web-based ticket reservation application, it is expected to simplify the reservation process that occurs between PT Maju Terus and prospective service users. With the existence of this system, it is also expected that the company can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the reservation process that held within the company.
