Abstract
In this final project, a prototype of an Arduino based robotic hand is made for the purpose of helping the rehabilitation of a stroke patient. Rehabilitation can be achieved in different ways but with the robotic hand, the rehabilitation process can be achieved with a new way of helping the stroke patient with the help of the normal hand. The robotic hand will be used for the stroke patient in their stroke affected hand and the robotic hand glove will be used in their normal hand. Both component are using microcontroller Arduino. The function of this hand glove is to move the robotic hand so that the robotic hand will follow every movement from the robotic hand glove. The first thing to do is to configure the robotic hand glove so they can adjust the fingers of the patient. After that, the rehabilitation can start. The final result of the robotic hand corresponds to the original idea, but still needs an improvement. The communication process between the robotic hand is good and has a success rates of 100%. Meanwhile, the robotic hand do not have any delay over 1 second in following the movement of the robotic hand glove. The only thing to improve is the mechanical design. The design used has a success rates of 80% because the robotic hand that moves the fingers to fully close.
