Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan hal yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Siswa dapat memahami suatu materi pelajaran melalui pemahaman konsep yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil tes pada pelajaran matematika materi soal cerita FPB dan KPK, ditemukan lebih dari 50% siswa belum mampu menjawab soal-soal yang diberikan, sehingga belum mencapai KKM yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah, yaitu 70. Hal tersebut didukung oleh hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap guru mentor. Metode mengajar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Course Review Horay (CRH) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa materi soal cerita FPB dan KPK. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) menurut model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama tiga siklus, yang terdiri dari dua pertemuan di setiap siklusnya. Penelitian dilakukan di sebuah Sekolah Dasar Kristen Lampung kelas V SD yang berlangsung sejak tanggal 3 Agustus 2015 sampai 21 Oktober 2015. Instrumen-instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: tes (kelompok dan individu), observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, jurnal refleksi, dan umpan balik (feedback) mentor. Indikator pemahaman konsep yang digunakan adalah menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis dan mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, terlihat bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat melewati 75% di kedua indikator tersebut, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode CRH dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran Matematika materi soal cerita FPB dan KPK. Peningkatan kedua indikator pemahaman konsep dapat terjadi melalui langkah�langkah penerapan metode Course Review Horay yang telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan benar./Conceptual understanding is the most important thing for the learning process in school. Students are able to understand a particular subject of a lesson through a good understanding. Based on the results of Math test about reserved story in FPB and KPK, has founded that more that 50% of students could not able to answer the questions correctly, so it could not able to reach the KKM that has been set by the school, that is 70. It endorsed the results of observation and interview against a teacher mentor. The teaching methods used in this study is a Course Review Horay (CRH) to enhance students' understanding of the material and the FPB story problem KPK. The selection of the method based on the characteristics of students who are heterogeneous and capable of creating a fun learning atmosphere for students in the group that managed to answer a question correctly will be shouting "Horay" together the members of the group. Type of research method used is CAR (Classroom Action Research) according to the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The study lasted for three cycles, which consists of two meetings in each cycle. The research was done in a Christian elementary school class V which conducted from August 3rd , 2015 until October 21st, 2015. Instruments used in the study include: test (groups and individuals), observation, interview, questionnaire, the journal reflection, and mentor„s feedback. Indicators understanding of the concept used is presenting concepts in a variety of forms of representation and apply mathematical concepts or algorithms in problem solving. Based on this research, it is apparent that the understanding of the concept of students increases exceeding 75% on both of these indicators, then it can be inferred that CRH methods can improve the understanding of the students in the subject of mathematics material reserved FPB story and the KPK. The increase of both conceptual understanding‟s indicators happened through a good and a right implementation of the Course Review Horay method.
