Abstract

Peneliti menemukan masalah ketidakdisiplinan siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Siswa tidak meminta izin terlebih dahulu ketika ingin berbicara, sibuk bermain dengan alat tulis siswa saat guru menjelaskan, memotong pembicaraan guru saat guru sedang menjelaskan materi, tidak memerhatikan guru yang sedang menjelaskan materi di depan kelas, tidak menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu sesuai dengan instruksi guru, dan mengganggu siswa yang lain saat guru sedang menjelaskan materi pelajaran. Oleh karena itu, peneliti memutuskan untuk menggunakan peraturan kelas dengan tujuan untuk menyelidiki apakah penerapan peraturan kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa dan untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan peraturan kelas yang dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model “Kemmis & Mc Taggart” yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus yaitu pada 27 Oktober 2015, 3 November 2015, dan 5 November 2015 dengan melibatkan 18 orang siswa di kelas 5 SD XYZ yang berlokasi di Gunung Agung�Lampung. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa lembar wawancara, lembar obsevasi checklist, dan jurnal refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian pada siklus ketiga menyimpulkan bahwa persentase indikator disiplin siswa selama proses pembelajaran mampu mencapai lebih dari 90% melalui penerapan peraturan kelas. Selain itu, peraturan kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa apabila diterapkan secara konsisten./During internship, the researcher found that students had problem in terms of discipline during teaching and learning process. The students did not ask permission to talk, played with stationeries while the teacher explaining, talking over the teacher, did not pay attention while the teacher explaining the lesson, did not complete the task agreed with the teacher‟s instruction in time, and students disturbed other students while the teacher explaining the lesson. Thus, the researcher decided to implement rules in the class to solve the problems. The purpose of the research is to investigate whether the implementation of rules can improve students‟ discipline or not and to know the steps in conducting class‟ rules to improve students‟ behavior. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) method “Kemmis & Mc Taggart” model which held in three cycles. The research was conducted on October 27th, November 3rd , and November 5th, 2015 to 18 students in grade 5 at SD XYZ, a Christian private school located at Gunung Agung-Lampung. The instruments used in this research were interview sheet, observation checklist, and reflection journal. Then, the data analyzed descriptively. The result of the research in cycle three found that indicator level of achievement on students‟ discipline during teaching and learning process could reach more than 90% through the implementation of class‟ rules. Moreover, class‟ rules can improve students‟ discipline if applied consistently during teaching and learning process.
