Abstract

Keterampilan menulis huruf bersambung merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dipergunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang lain secara tidak langsung dan tidak bertatap muka. Keterampilan menulis huruf bersambung memiliki tiga hal yang dapat dipelajari oleh siswa, yaitu: kesabaran, ketekunan, dan keindahan. SD XYZ merupakan sekolah umum yang menerima anak berkebutuhan khusus terkhususnya di kelas II, salah satu siswa menyandang sindrom asperger berinisial RYSB. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis karakteristik RYSB di sekolah umum dalam hal berkomunikasi dan keterampilan menulis huruf bersambung RYSB di kelas. Waktu penelitian dilakukan mulai dari 3 Agustus 2015 hingga 13 November 2015 di SD XYZ Koja, Jakarta Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan instrument observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan model Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan menulis huruf bersambung RYSB jika dilihat berdasarkan kriteria penilaian, hasil tulisan RYSB tidak stabil. Hal ini terlihat karena jarak antar kata yang tidak stabil dan tulisan yang tidak berada pada kolom garis buku halus. Jika dilihat dari keterampilan yang dimiliki oleh RYSB maka keterampilan menulis huruf bersambungnya sudah ada peningkatan, terlihat dari kekonsistenan bentuk huruf dalam penulisan RYSB. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, guru wali kelas memberikan latihan secara terus-menerus, memberikan pendampingan khusus terhadap RYSB di waktu pulang sekolah, dan memberikan garis fokus berwarna merah pada kolom penulisan buku halus RYSB./The skill of writing cursive is one of the skills that is used to communicate with other people indirectly and without face to face interaction. The skill of writing cursive has three aspects being learned by the students, which are patience, perseverance, and beauty. SD XYZ is a public school that accepts children with diverse abilities, especially in grade II, there is a student with an asperger syndrome, called RYSB. This research is conducted to analyze the characteristics of RYSB in the public school in his both communication and skill of writing cursive in the class. The research time was begun from August 3, 2015 until November 13, 2015 at SD XYZ in Koja, Jakarta Utara. The research method used was case study with observation, interview, and documentation as the instruments. The data analysis used in the research was Milles and Huberman model The research results show that RSYB’s skill of writing cursive was not stable if it was seen based on the criteria of the assessment on the RSYB’s writing. It was shown because the space between two words was not stable and the writing was not in the column of the cursive book. If it was shown from the skill of RSYB, his skill of writing cursive was increased and it was shown from the consistent of the letter on RSYB’s writing. Based on the research results, the homeroom teacher gave a training continuously and special guidance to RSYB after school and gave the additional focus red line on the column of the RSYVB’s cursive book.
