Abstract

Psychological theories explain that children from age 5 to 6 have already had cooperation skills. It was shown by their ability in receiving and interacting with other students. Meanwhile, the different result was shown in the researcher’s observation as students in TK B Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug were lack of cooperation. This lack of cooperation could be seen because students had the tendency to pick only several friends to play, students didn’t want to share with other and students only talked to their chosen friends. Therefore, block play is implemented because it has many varieties and also has bright colours in order to give students experiences to do group activity with aims to increase the students’ cooperation as well as the right steps in block play to increase students’ cooperation. This research method was Class Action Research (CAR) in three cycles with 20 students of TK (kindergarten) as the subjects. Data collection was done by using instruments which are mentor and peer’s observation sheet, mentor’s interview sheet and reseracher’s reflection. This data was done analyzed by using descriptive. Based on the analysis result, there was increasing cooperation in every indicator at cycle III which are student’s interaction 87,28%, respect others’ opinion 84,21% and help others who have difficulties 92,76%. The steps in implementing block play were to organize the class, prepare the tool for block play, divide the groups, explain the rules and close the game. Therefore, it can be concluded that students’ cooperation can be increased by implementing the correct steps in block play./Teori psikologi perkembangan menjelaskan bahwa anak usia 5 – 6 tahun sudah memiliki kemampuan bekerjasama. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan anak dalam menerima dan berinteraksi dengan siswa lain. Namun, hasil observasi di kelas dan wawancara oleh mentor menunjukkan siswa TK B Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug kurang dalam bekerja sama. Hal ini terlihat dari siswa memilih�milih teman pada saat bermain, siswa tidak suka berbagi dengan teman lain dan siswa hanya berbicara kepada teman yang dipilihnya. Oleh karena itu, bermain balok yang memiliki bentuk bervariasi dan memiliki warna yang cerah memberikan pengalaman melakukan kegiatan bersama dengan tujuan meningkatkan kerja sama siswa serta mengetahui langkah-langkah yang tepat dalam penerapan bermain balok untuk meningkatkan kerja sama siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dalam tiga siklus dengan subjek penelitian siswa TK sebanyak 20 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar wawancara mentor, serta jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kerja sama pada setiap indikator di siklus III yaitu berinteraksi dengan siswa lain 87,28%, menghargai pendapat teman lain 84,21%dan membantu teman lain yang mengalami kesulitan 92,76%. Langkah-langkah penerapan bermain balok yang dilakukan adalah mengorganisasikan kelas, mempersiapkan peralatan bermain balok, membagi kelompok bermain, mengenalkan balok, menjelaskan peraturan bermain, bermain balok, dan menutup permainan. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkanbahwa kerja sama siswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan penerapan bermain balok yang benar.
