Abstract

Motivasi dalam proses pembelajaran sangat diperlukan karena dengan adanya motivasi para peserta didik dapat terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, permasalahan yang peneliti temui dalam penelitian di siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar Kristen Ora et Labora adalah siswa kurang termotivasi. Hal ini terlihat saat proses pembelajaran siswa tidak bersemangat, tidak fokus saat belajar, bermain-main sendiri, dan tidak berkonsentrasi saat mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan motivasi siswa rendah. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan permainan dalam proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II yang terdiri dari 27 orang, 14 siswa laki-laki dan 13 siswa perempuan. Data pada peneltian ini dikumpulkan dengan instrument yang telah disediakan, yaitu : lembar observasi guru mentor, lembar kuesioner siswa, dan pengamatan langsung dari peneliti yang di tulis dalam jurnal refleksi. Data dari hasil instrument ini dianalisis dengan perhitungan statistik sederhana dan deskriptif. Hasil indikator 1, 2, dan 3 pada observasi motivasi di siklus pertama menunjukkan presentase 62,5%, 61,11% dan 100. Pada siklus kedua mengalami peningkatan pada indikator 1, 2, dan 3 dengan presentase 87,5 %, 73,61%, dan 100%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan permainan dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran./Motivation in the learning process is very important because the motivation of learners actively involved in the learning process. Based on the result of observations, researcher has encountered problem that the students of second grade elementary school Christian Ora et Labora are less motivated. It was seen during the learning process that the students did not get excited, did not focus when studying, playing with themselves, and did not concentrate on the learning process. This indicates a low student motivation. Therefore, researcher conducted a study to implement the game in the learning process that aims to increase motivation. The research method is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a Kemmis & Taggart model that conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this research are the students of 2nd grade that consisting of 27 students, 14 male students and 13 female students. Data in this research was collected with instruments that has been provided, those are: mentor teacher observation sheet, student questionnaire sheet, and direct observations of researcher that written in reflective journal. Data from those instruments were analyzed by simple statistical calculation and descriptive. The Results of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd indicators on observation of motivation in the first cycle shows the percentage of 62.5%, 61.11% and 100. In the second cycle, indicators increased at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with a percentage of 87.5%, 73, 61%, and 100%. These results indicate that the use of a game can increase the motivation of students in the learning process.
