Abstract

This research is based on the problem that is found in the classroom where students‟ cooperation is low. The aim of this research is to see if students‟ cooperation could be increased by playing puzzle game together. The research method that is used is classroom action research (CAR) in three cycles with four steps, planning step, implementing step, observation step, and reflection step. The subject of the research is Playgroup students in Sekolah Citra Berkat Tangerang with 15 students in the cycle I and III, and 14 students in cycle II. Data gathering is done by using instrument such as observation sheets of the teacher mentor and the teacher assistant, the researcher‟ reflection notes, and interview with the teacher‟s assistant. The data gathered is then analyzed with the descriptive qualitative technique. The result of the analysis shows enhancement in each cycle and its indicator. The indicators are that students are: able to show positive interaction, able to give peer support, willing to gather with their group, and able to do group work. The puzzle game that is used can enhance student's collaboration because first, it uses interesting colorful pictures, second the puzzle game's design is simple to be played, third the puzzle is played in group, and lastly it improves students' problem solving. Hence, researcher concludes that students‟ cooperation can be enhanced through puzzle game activity with the picture and design choice that attract students‟ attention./Penelitian ini didasarkan pada masalah yang dijumpai di dalam kelas di mana masih rendahnya sikap kerja sama siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat apakah kerja sama siswa dapat meningkat melalui kegiatan bermain puzzle bersama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dalam tiga siklus dengan empat tahap, tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap observasi, dan tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa Kelompok Bermain di Sekolah Citra Berkat Tangerang dengan jumlah siswa pada siklus I dan siklus III sebanyak 15 siswa dan 14 siswa pada siklus II. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi guru mentor dan guru pendamping, catatan reflektif peneliti, dan wawancara guru pendamping. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada setiap siklus dan indikatornya. Indikator tersebut ialah siswa mampu menunjukkan interaksi yang positif, mampu memberi dukungan kepada teman, mau bergabung bersama kelompoknya, dan dapat melaksanakan tugas kelompok. Permainan puzzle yang digunakan mampu meningkatkan kerja sama siswa sebab menggunakan gambar yang menarik, terdiri dari warna-warna cerah yang menarik perhatian, bentuk puzzle yang tidak rumit untuk dimainkan, puzzle dimainkan secara berkelompok, dan dapat melatih problem solving siswa. Dengan demikian peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kerja sama siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan bermain puzzle bersama dengan pilihan gambar dan desain puzzle yang menarik perhatian siswa.
