Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi mentor, lembar check list teman sejawat, wawancara mentor dan refleksi pribadi yang telah dilakukan peneliti di kelas 1A, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa masih kurang. Hal ini tercermin dari sikap siswa yang tidak bersemangat saat belajar, cemberut, cenderung meletakkan kepalanya di atas meja, suka berjalan dalam kelas saat belajar, siswa juga belum dapat berpartisipasi untuk bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan serta tidak dapat bekerja sama dalam kelompok. Salah satu penyebab kurangnya motivasi belajar adalah metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran Matematika dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang baru yaitu metode permainan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 1A yang terdiri dari 27 siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 18 Juli 2016 − 05 November 2016. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen penelitian berupa: lembar wawancara mentor, lembar check list teman sejawat, dan angket siswa. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkana bahwa, metode permainan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas 1A, hal ini terbukti dari peningkatan pada setiap indikator. Indikator pertama adalah minat belajar siswa pada pernyataan pertama peningkatan yang terjadi sebesar 11.11% dan pada pernyataan kedua peningkatannya sebesar 11.11%. Indiaktor kedua adalah partisipasi aktif siswa, pernyataan pertama meningkat sebesar 11.11%, pernyataan kedua meningkat sebesar 22.22% dan pernyataan ketiga meningkat sebesar 29.63%. Indikator motivasi yang ketiga adalah disiplin siswa, pada pernyataan pertama peningkatan sebesar 18.22% dan pada pernyataan kedua peningkatannya sebesar 14.82%. Indikator motivasi belajar siswa yang terakhir adalah kerja sama siswa peningkatan sebesar 37.04% dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap pernyataan indikator meningkat melalui ketiga instrumen yang peneliti gunakan./According to mentor observation result, peer check list, mentor interview and personal reflection that has been done by researcher at class 1A, can be concluded that students are lack of learning motivation. This can be seen from the students’ that they do not enthusiastically following the lesson, put a frown, putting their head on their desk, walking at the class while learning, students also cannot participate well to ask or answer question and cannot work cooperatively inside their group. One that cause lack of learning motivation is the use of direct teaching. Therefore, the objective of this research is increasing students learning motivation toward Mathematic class using new learning method which is game method. The method of this research is using classroom action research method which conducted in two cycle. The research subject is students’ grade 1A consist of 27 students. This research held on 18 July 2016 – 05 November 2016. Data is collected through some instruments which are: mentor interview sheet, peer check list sheet, and students’ questionnaire journals. Data is analyzed in simple descriptive statistical. The result of the research shows that, game method could increase 1A students learning motivation, this can be seen from the enhancement for each indicator. First indicator is students learning motivation on the first statement increase for about 11.11% and on the second statement is 11.11%. Second indicator is students’ activity, first statement increase for about 11.11%, and the second statement is 22.22% and the third statement is 29.63%. Third motivation indicator is students’ discipline; first statement increase for about 18.22% and second statement for about 14.82%. The last indicator is students’ cooperation, increase for about 37.04%, therefore can be concluded that each indicator statement increase through three research instrument that used.
