Abstract

Orang tua memiliki peran yang penting dalam keluarga. Orang tua yang baik mampu mendidik anak dan mendorong anaknya untuk berprestasi dengan baik di sekolah, serta menjadi teladan dalam lingkungan sekitar. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa banyak anak di sekolah memiliki prestasi yang kurang baik dan perilaku yang menyimpang. Hal ini disebabkan karena orang tua tidak dapat membimbing anaknya dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa di sekolah serta mengetahui signifikansi hubungannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif desain korelasional dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil uji koefisien korelasi Spearman Rank menggunakan program SPSS versi 23. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 31 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampling yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa Alpha Cronbach dalam penelitian ini bernilai 0,737. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara pola asuh orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi hasil uji korelasi (0,000) < taraf signifikan (0,05). Hubungan antara pola asuh authoritarian orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa juga dinyatakan positif. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai koefisien korelasi yang dihasilkan positif sebesar ρ = 1,000. Hasil hubungan pola asuh permissive orang tua dengan prestasi belajar dinyatakkan tidak memiliki hubungan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikan bahwa perolehan hasil uji korelasi lebih besar dari taraf signifikansi yang sudah ditetapkan yakni 0,493 > 0,05. Sedangkan hubungan pola asuh authoritative orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa dinyatakan signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan nilai signifikansi dari hasil uji korelasi (0,001) < taraf signifikansi (0,05)./Parents have important roles in the family. Good parents are able to educate and support their children to have a good academic achievement in school, and also to educate them to become a good example for people around them. Based on the observation result, it is proven that lots of students do not have a good academic achievement and misbehavior because their parents could not raise them in a good way. The purposes of this research are to find out the correlation between parenting style and the students’ academic achievement in school and to find out the significance between them. This research was a quantitative research by using correlational design with the level of significance was 0.05. The result of Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was calculated by using SPSS version 23. The sample for this research were 31 students. Sampling technique that was used in this research was purposive sampling. The result of Alpha Cronbrach for reliability tests was 0.737. The result of this research shows that there were a positive correlation between parenting style and students’ academic achievement. This was proven by the number of significance from the correlation test (0,000) < level of significance (0,05). The correlation between the authoritarian parents and students’ academic achievement also showed a positive result. This was proven by the level of correlation coefficient was ρ = 1,000. The result also showed that there was no correlation between the permissive parents and students’ achievement. It could be seen from the level of significance which was 0,493 > 0.05. Besides, the correlation between the authoritative parenting style and students’ academic achievement were significant. This was proven by the level of significance from the correlation tests result (0,001) < level of significance (0,05).
