Abstract

Sekolah merupakan tempat bertumbuh dan berkembang bagi para siswa. Agar dapat menyediakan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan para siswa maka dibuat lah peraturan dan prosedur. Akan tetapi ada lima siswa kelas I yang tidak berperilaku dengan benar di kelas. Siswa-siswa tersebut melanggar peraturan dan mengganggu proses pembelajaran. Perilaku siswa-siswa tersebut menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan siswa lain dan dirinya sendiri. Melihat masalah ini sekolah XYZ menyediakan bimbingan konseling untuk menuntun para siswa-siswa dengan perilaku mengganggu tersebut. Berdasarkan latar belakang ini peneliti bertujuan untuk melihat proses konseling di sekolah XYZ membantu siswa-siswa kelas 1 dengan perilaku mengganggu. Peneliti melakukan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan dua fokus yaitu proses konseling dan lima siswa dengan perilaku mengganggu. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan cara melakukan observasi terbuka, observasi checklist perilaku siswa, wawancara konselor dan wali kelas, dan dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data penelitian mengambil waktu kurang lebih empat bulan. Data yang dikumpulkan pun dianalisis dan dikaitkan untuk melihat kaitan antara proses konseling dan kelima siswa dengan masalah perilaku disruptive. Hasil analisis data menunjukan proses konseling membantu para siswa kepada pengertian akan siapa dirinya dan cara berperilaku dengan benar. Proses konseling di sekolah XYZ membantu para siswa dengan berbagai cara yang unik dan menarik seperti pertemuan individu dan terapi bermain, dalam proses konseling konselor membangun suasana yang mendukung para siswa untuk mau terbuka terhadap bimbingan kepada pengertian akan dirinya./A school is a place for the students to grow and develop. In order to provide school environment that support the student's growth and development, rules and procedures were created. Unfortunately, there were five grade I students who misbehaved in the classroom. Those students broke the rules and interrupted the teaching and learning process. Those students’ bad behavior hampered other students and their personal growth and development. Looking at this issue the XYZ school provides counseling to help those students with disruptive behaviors. Based on this background, the researcher aimed to see the counseling process in XYZ school help grade 1 students with disruptive behavior The researcher did the case study qualitative research with two focus which are the counseling process and five students with disruptive behavior. The researcher collected the data using open observation and students’ behavior checklist observation, counselors’ interview and homerooms’ interview, and documentation. The data collection took more or less four months. The data that were collected was analyzed and related with one another to see the connection of the counseling process and the five students with disruptive behavior problem. The data results showed that the counseling process help the students to understands who they are and how to behave properly. Counseling process in XYZ school help the students with a variety of unique and interesting ways like the one on one meeting and play therapy, in the counseling process the counselors created a supportive atmosphere for the students to be opened for guidance that leads to the understanding of who they are.
