Abstract

The major challenge of companies is how to increase the sales performances so that it can go beyond the company’s target. Sales performance is imperative for organizational outcomes and success. Many factor influence sales performance; and marketing mix strategy stands out as the key determinants of sales performance. This study will centralize on one of the travel agent in Medan, which is PT. Elite Tour Medan. Based on the problem that PT. Elite Tour faced, this research is made to discuss about the influence marketing mix strategy towards sales performance of travel agent The objective of this research is to know the definition of marketing mix strategy, the definition of sales performance, the indicators of marketing mix, the indicators of sales performance, and the influence of marketing mix strategy on sales performance of travel agent at PT. Elite Tour Medan. In this research, the researcher will use quantitative method to obtain the data. The writer will analyse the data by using quality data test, in which consist of validity test, reliability test, and normality test. For the hypothesis test, the writer will conduct coefficient correlation test, linear regression test, determination test and hypothesis z-test by using SPSS program. The result of this research shows that there is a positive and strong relationship between arketing strategy and sales performance of travel agent at PT. Elite Tour Medan.
