Abstract

This paper aims to explain how Christian teacher information literacy is used in accommodate grade 9 students’ participation in online learning. It is found that due to poor internet connection the grade 9 students are unable to fully participate in the lesson. In this paper, it is highlighted that what makes a Christian teacher different from non-Christian teacher is on the basis of what the teacher did in the class and that a Christian teacher should centering the lesson into Christ-centered learning and depending on the work of Holy Spirit. This paper used qualitative descriptive research method and found that by through each role of Christian teacher included in Christian teaching components, Christian teacher utilized information literacy to accommodate students’ participation in the lesson and with the topic learned. This paper suggests conducting a further study about implementing information literacy in the context of Christian education, integrating information literacy with other teaching methods, strategies, and approaches, and conducting training about fulfilling Christian teaching components and information literacy for Christian pre-service teachers.
