Abstract

Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) menyebabkan beberapa permasalahan seperti sulitnya proses penanaman karakter kepada siswa. Seperti yang peneliti dapati di salah satu sekolah swasta di Lampung bahwa kurangnya waktu dalam pembelajaran membuat proses penanaman karakter menjadi tidak maksimal. Padahal pendidikan seharusnya sampai pada tahap pertumbuhan karakter. Karakter peduli lingkungan sangat penting dipahami siswa agar siswa mengetahui dan memahami tugasnya di dunia untuk menjaga alam ciptaan sebagai bagian dari mandat budaya. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam memilih teks dan soal yang dapat menjadi sarana penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan kepada siswa dalam konteks PJJ. Tugas akhir ini ditulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilnya, guru memiliki peran untuk memilih teks yang memuat materi sesuai tuntutan kurikulum dan tema mengenai peduli lingkungan. Guru juga dapat memberi teks yang memberikan gambaran dari dampak perilaku tidak peduli lingkungan sehingga siswa berkesempatan untuk menemukan perilaku lain yang menunjukkan kepedulian akan lingkungan. Guru juga berperan memberikan soal yang menuntut siswa menganalisis teks sehingga siswa bisa diarahkan untuk menemukan perilaku yang menunjukkan karakter peduli lingkungan setelah membaca teks. Saran penulis, guru dapat memerhatikan tingkat keterbacaan teks berupa jumlah kalimat pada teks sehingga tingkat kesulitan teks yang dianalisis lebih sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa. / The implementation of online learning causes several problems such as the difficulty of the process of instilling character in students. As the researchers found in one of the private schools in Lampung, the lack of time in learning makes the character planting process not optimal. Whereas education should reach the stage of character growth. The character of caring for the environment is very important for students so that students know and understand their duties in the world as ordered by God. The purpose of this final project is to describe the teacher's role in choosing texts and questions that can be a means of instilling environmental care characters to students. This final project was written using a qualitative descriptive method. As a result, the teacher has a role to choose texts that contain material according to the demands of the curriculum and the theme of caring for the environment. The teacher can also give a text that provides an overview of the impact of behavior that does not care about the environment so that students have the opportunity to find other behaviors that show concern for the environment. The teacher also plays a role in giving questions that require students to analyze the text so that students can be directed to find behaviors that show the character of caring for the environment after reading the text. The writer's suggestion is that the teacher can pay attention to the level of readability of the text in the form of the number of sentences in the text so that the level of difficulty of the text being analyzed is more in line with the students' abilities.
