Abstract

Masyarakat zaman sekarang telah beradaptasi dengan era digital, yang mana kehidupan sehari-hari mereka sudah tidak bisa dilepaskan dengan pemanfaatan media baru. Adanya media baru mengakibatkan lahirnya perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak dalam ranah portal berita online. Akibatnya, masyarakat lebih mengandalkan media online dalam memperoleh informasi. Maka dari itu, perusahaan-perusahaan tersebut memberi dampak terhadap digitalisasi informasi, dimana berita yang disajikan sudah tidak lagi dalam bentuk cetak tetapi bentuk digital, yang dapat diakses dengan media baru. Salah satu portal berita online asal Indonesia yang mengemas berita yang faktual dan edukatif adalah Media Akutahu, dibawah naungan PT Akutahu Media Positif. Media Akutahu, tidak hanya menyajikan berita yang bernilai dan kredibel, namun juga mementingkan karyawannya dengan menerapkan komunikasi organisasi yang efektif dan efisien. Selama masa kerja di Media Akutahu, pemagang ditempatkan pada divisi social media marketing. Tugas yang diberikan kepada pemagang berhubungan dengan pengelolaan media sosial serta komunikasi dengan klien terkait layanan yang disediakan oleh Media Akutahu. Penugasan yang diberikan disertai dengan komunikasi yang baik, sehingga pemagang merasa nyaman dan dianggap dalam lingkungan perusahaan. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Media Akutahu sebagai portal berita online tidak hanya fokus pada penyajian berita, namun tetap menjalankan komunikasi organisasi yang baik sehingga terciptanya employee engagement yang dapat mensejahterakan pekerjanya. / The society has adapted to the digital era, where their daily life can’t be separated from the use of new media. The existence of new media resulted in the birth of companies engaged in the realm of online news portals. As a result, people rely more on online media to obtain information. Therefore, many of these companies have an impact on the digitization of information, where the news presented is no longer in print but the news are presented in digital form, which can be accessed with new media. One of the online news portals from Indonesia that packs factual and educative news is Media Akutahu, under the auspices of PT Akutahu Media Positif. Media Akutahu, not only presents valuable and credible news, but also attaches importance to its employees by implementing effective and efficient organizational communication. During intern’s work period at Media Akutahu, intern was placed in the social media marketing division. The tasks assigned to interns relate to social media management and communication with clients regarding the services provided by Media Akutahu itself. The assignments given are accompanied by good communication, so that the intern feels comfortable and considered in the company environment. From this, it can be concluded that Media Akutahu as an online news portal does not only focus on presenting news, but also maintains good organizational communication to create employee engagement that can improve the welfare of its employees.
