Abstract

Industri musik Korea menjadi salah satu industri yang paling menarik perhatian dunia. Kepopuleran grup musik Korea menghadirkan sebuah fandom yang berisi penggemar suatu grup musik tertentu. iKON menjadi salah satu grup musik yang memiliki fanbase hampir diseluruh belahan dunia salah satunya Indonesia. Akibat kelambatan fanbase resmi iKON dalam memberikan informasi, banyak penggemar iKON yang kemudian membentuk sendiri akun fanbase mereka melalui Instagram, salah satunya adalah akun fanbase @ikonsites.id. Dari akun unofficial tersebut, terbentuk komunikasi antar pribadi antara pengurus dan pengikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas komunikasi fandom iKON pada akun unofficial @ikonsites.id dan dikaitkan dengan karakteristik CMC. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data primer melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara, serta data sekunder melalui sumber buku, jurnal penelitian sebelumnya dan artikel terkait. Wawancara dilakukan pada pengurus dan pengikut akun @ikonsites.id, dan observasi dilakukan pada segala aktivitas akun terkait. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa karakteristik komunikasi yang dimediasi oleh komputer dapat ditemukan pada segala aktivitas komunikasi interpersonal pada akun @ikonsites.id. / The Korean music industry is one of the most attractive industries in the world. The popularity of Korean music groups presents a fandom that contains fans of a certain music group. iKON is a music group that has a fanbase almost all over the world, including Indonesia. Due to the slowness of iKON's official fanbase in providing information, many iKON fans formed their own fanbase accounts via Instagram, one of which is the @ikonsites.id fanbase account. From these unofficial accounts, interpersonal communication is formed between the administrators and their followers. This study aims to determine the iKON fandom communication activities on the unofficial account @ikonsites.id and what about the characteristics of CMC. This study uses an approach approach with descriptive research methods. Primary data collection through observation and interview techniques, as well as secondary data through book sources, previous research journals and related articles. Interviews were conducted on the management and followers of the @ikonsites.id account, and observations were made on all related account activities. The results showed that the characteristics of computer-mediated communication can be found in all interpersonal communication activities on the @ikonsites.id account.
