Abstract

HR (Human Resources) are the most crucial component in the development process and achieving organizational goals since their performance has a significant impact on a company's success. Numbers of issues can influence employee performance, including motivation and work environment. The aim of this research is to see whether motivation and work environment have an impact on employee performance at CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. It is necessary for each organization to increase motivation and provide conducive work environment for its employees as employees are motivated and comfortable with the work environment, they will work more productively, and it will boost work effectiveness and efficiency which result in increasing employee performance. The research design used by the writer is quantitative method with causal research. The sampling technique is Census sampling where the writer distributes the questionnaires to 35 employees of CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression which is done by using IBSM SPSS Statistics v.25. The result shows that motivation and work environment simultaneously have significant effect on employee performance at CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. The t-test result shows that motivation has a significant effect on employee performance at CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan implying that the higher the employee motivation, the better the employee performance, as well as work environment has a significant effect on employee performance at CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan implying that a supportive work environment can trigger employees to work better so that they can improve employee performance. Since this research has verified all the hypothesis, the writer also provide some recommendations to help CV Tirta Abadi Lestari to improve its motivation and work environment./ Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) merupakan komponen terpenting dalam proses pengembangan dan pencapaian tujuan organisasi karena kinerjanya memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap keberhasilan perusahaan. Sejumlah masalah dapat memengaruhi kinerja karyawan, termasuk motivasi dan lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah motivasi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan pada CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. Setiap organisasi perlu meningkatkan motivasi dan menyediakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif bagi karyawannya karena karyawan termotivasi dan nyaman dengan lingkungan kerja, mereka akan bekerja lebih produktif dan akan meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi kerja yang berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah metode kuantitatif dengan penelitian kausal. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cencus sampling dimana penulis menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 35 karyawan CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan IBSM SPSS Statistics v.25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan lingkungan kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan yang artinya semakin tinggi motivasi kerja maka kinerja karyawan semakin baik, begitu juga lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada CV Tirta Abadi Lestari Medan mengandung makna bahwa lingkungan kerja yang mendukung dapat memicu karyawan untuk bekerja lebih baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Karena penelitian ini telah memverifikasi semua hipotesis, penulis juga memberikan beberapa rekomendasi untuk membantu CV Tirta Abadi Lestari untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan lingkungan kerjanya.
