Abstract

The problem of Christian teachers, especially in interacting with diverse students, is one of the factors that makes teachers less able to carry out their roles properly. But the teacher's understanding of students as God's image and likeness becomes a strong foundation to enable a teacher to carry out his calling. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the right way for a Christian teacher to treat students as the image and likeness of God. The results of this study state that the teacher has to realize and live God’s calling by preparing a learning environment that supports, empowers, and enables students to develop gifts given by God and fosters student character by becoming a role model of Christ.
