Abstract
Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah hal yang sangat penting mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap pembelajaran pada suatu sekolah di Jakarta Barat dengan siswa kelas V SD sebagai subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan observasi di lapangan menunjukkan kurangnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas, ditandai dengan siswa yang terlihat bosan, tidak bersemangat, kurang interaksi dengan guru dan juga siswa lainnya dan tidak bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas yang diberikan guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan penjelasan upaya guru dalam mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran diskusi kelompok dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Guru sebagai motivator bertanggung jawab untuk mendorong siswa untuk terlibat dalam komunitas belajar sebagai cara pengenalan kepada Allah melalui Roh Kudus. Penulisan karya ini memaparkan upaya guru untuk mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode diskusi kelompok dapat mendorong keterlibatan aktif dalam belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan perilaku siswa yang bersemangat, antusias, aktif, dan percaya diri untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok bersama dengan rekan belajarnya. Penerapan metode diskusi kelompok harus menyesuaikan dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan untuk meneliti indikator motivasi belajar lainnya sehingga untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat meneliti indikator motivasi belajar lainnya dan dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian lainnya./ Active involvement of students in learning is very important in achieving learning objectives. The research was conducted on learning at a school in West Jakarta with fifth grade elementary school students as research subjects. Based on field observations, it shows the lack of student involvement in classroom learning, marked by students who look bored, not enthusiastic, lack of interaction with the teacher and other students and are not responsible for the tasks given by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to provide an explanation of the teacher's efforts to encourage active student involvement through the application of group discussion learning methods using qualitative descriptive research methods. The teacher as a motivator is responsible for encouraging students to be involved in the learning community as a way of getting to know God through the Holy Spirit. The writing of this paper describes the teacher's efforts to encourage active student involvement in learning. The results showed that the application of the group discussion method could encourage active involvement in student learning which was characterized by the behavior of students who were enthusiastic, enthusiastic, active, and confident in presenting the results of group discussions together with study partner. The application of the group discussion method must adapt to the conditions and needs of students. This study has limitations to examine other indicators of learning motivation so that future researchers can examine other indicators of learning motivation and use other research instruments.
