Abstract

Penelitian ini di dasarkan terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi pada kelas X-8 di salah satu SMA Kristen Tangerang. Proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di dalam kelas mengajak siswa untuk aktif dalam mengembangkan setiap kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Akan tetapi hasil observasi dan umpan balik guru mentor, umpan balik teman sejawat, serta observasi dan refleksi peneliti menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, melalui perilaku kurangnya kepekaan siswa dalam mendengarkan penjelasan yang diberikan oleh guru, sebagian besar tidak memberikan pertanyaan, tidak melaksanakan diskusi, tidak melakukan instruksi yang diberikan oleh guru, tidak menyatakan pendapat serta tidak memberikan tanggapan terhadap informasi yang diberikan oleh teman atau guru. Solusi yang diberikan oleh peneliti dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada adalah dengan menerapkan metode take and give di dalam proses pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan metode take and give dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa serta menjelaskan langkah-langkah penerapan metode take and give. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Pelton dengan dua kali pelaksanaan yang dilaksanakan mulai 24 September 2018 hingga dengan 15 Oktober 2015 dengan melibatkan 21 siswa. Peneliti melakukan analisis data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, umpan balik, lembar observasi, refleksi peneliti, angket siswa serta wawancara teman sejawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran take and give dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan terjadinya peningkatan terhadap setiap indikator yang digunakan. Setiap tahapan dalam pelaksanaan metode take and give dapat terlaksana dan meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa./ This research based on problem found in class X-8 in one of Christian School Tangerang. Based on observation result, mentor feedback, colleague feedback, and observation and reflection from the researcher showed that students’ learning activeness in learning was low through the behavior of students' lack of sensitivity in listening to the explanations given by the teacher, most do not provide questions, do not carry out discussions, do not carry out instructions given by the teacher, do not express opinions and do not provide responses to information provided by friends or teachers. The researcher used Take and Give Method to overcome this problem. The purposes of this research were knowing whether the implementation of Take and Give Method to improve students’ learning activeness and knowing the effective way to implement Take and Give Method. The researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Pelton Model that was conducted twice from September 24th, 2018 until October 15, 2018. The subject of this research were twenty one students from class X-8. The researcher used lesson plan, feedback sheet from mentor and colleague teacher, observation sheet, journal reflection from the researcher, students’ questionnaire, and colleague interview. The result showed that the implementation of Take and Give Method in teaching and learning process could improve students’ learning activeness through the improving of all indicators. Through the implementation of Take and Give Method that were could improve students’ learning activeness.
