Abstract

Pendidikan karakter bisa dilakukan dengan membuat peraturan dan prosedur kelas. Sayangnya banyak siswa yang tidak disiplin dalam menaati peraturan dan prosedur kelas. Sebagai orang percaya, hidup dalam kebenaran Allah memerlukan kedisiplinan. Kedisiplinan siswa dapat dilihat dari ketaatan siswa terhadap peraturan kelas, kegiatan atau jadwal belajar dan tanggung jawab dalam mengerjakan tugas. Guru berperan penting untuk menuntun siswa menjadi pribadi yang disiplin dengan cara memberikan penghargaan dan konsekuensi untuk memotivasi siswa agar lebih disiplin. Paper ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui cara penerapan penghargaan dan konsekuensi dalam menghadapi permasalahan kedisplinan siswa kelas 2 SD dan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi guru harus mengenali karakteristik siswa. Kemudian guru harus menjelaskan tentang penghargaan dan konsekuensi yang berlaku di kelas. Selanjutnya, guru bisa menerapkan pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi. Selain itu, guru juga harus konsisten dalam menerapkan penghargaan dan konsekuensi. Penulis menyarankan agar dalam menerapkan penghargaan dan konsekuensi guru mengenali karakteristik siswanya terlebih dahulu dan menetapkan jangka waktu tertentu agar tujuan pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi tepat sasaran. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan karakter, kedisiplinan, penghargaan dan konsekuensi./Character education can be done by making classroom rules and procedures. Unfortunately, many students are not disciplined in obeying class rules and procedures. As a believer, living in God's righteousness requires discipline. Student discipline can be seen in students' obedience to class rules, activity schedules, and responsibilities in doing assignments. Teachers play an important role in guiding students to become disciplined individuals by giving rewards and consequences to motivate students to be more disciplined. This paper was written to know how to apply rewards and consequences in dealing with disciplinary problems for 2nd-grade elementary school students and use descriptive qualitative methods. In giving rewards and consequences the teacher must recognize the characteristics of students. Then the teacher must explain the rewards and consequences that apply in the classroom. After that, teachers can apply it. In addition, teachers must also be consistent in applying rewards and consequences. The author suggests that in applying rewards and consequences the teacher recognizes the characters of his/her students first and sets a certain period so that the purpose of giving rewards and consequences is right on target.
