Abstract
Self-control character is one of the fruits of the spirit according to Galatians 5:22-23 which everyone who already believes in Christ must bear the fruits of the spirit. Christ has set us free from our sin so we are no longer live according to flesh but according to the spirit which can reflect from our character. Nowadays, the character building become of the most important aspect for the school and parents to concern about it. Christian teacher self-control character become the focus on this paper. The character of the teacher determines the students respond during the teaching & learning activity. Christian teachers apply the discipline according to the authority that God gives to perform their task as educator. This paper aims to study about the application of self-control character by the teacher through literature study. The character of Christ become the standard of self-control by the teacher in teaching. Based on teacher self-control character, the students cannot directly apply the character of Christ in daily lives, but they can develop and emphasize the character of Christ. For the reader or future research suggest doing deeper research about student’s character in different stages of development.
