Abstract

Dalam mengikuti pembelajaran diperlukan disiplin belajar. Siswa yang disiplin mampu menunjukkan sikap taat terhadap aturan yang berlaku di dalam kelas. Namun, pada kenyataannya masalah disiplin belajar masih sering terjadi di kelas VI A di salah satu SD Kristen di Tomohon. Masalah disiplin belajar tersebut adalah siswa mengobrol, melakukan aktivitas lain saat pembelajaran berlangsung, dan tidak menggunakan hand signal dengan tertib. Hal tersebut dapat membuat pembelajaran tidak berjalan dengan baik, sehingga peneliti menerapkan konsekuensi perilaku untuk meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa. Konsekuensi perilaku diterapkan sesuai dengan perilaku siswa. Siswa yang disiplin diberikan penguatan positif berupa reward, sedangkan bagi siswa yang tidak disiplin diberikan hukuman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Pelton yang terdiri dari lima langkah penelitian tindakan yaitu: identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, penerapan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan hasil penilaian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kali penerapan tindakan yang masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa yang terdiri dari 16 perempuan dan 14 laki-laki. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, konsekuensi perilaku dapat meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa kelas VI A di salah satu SD Kristen di Tomohon. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari persentase nilai rata-rata pada tindakan I dan II, yaitu: siswa tidak mengobrol saat pembelajaran berlangsung (69% menjadi 95%), siswa tidak melakukan aktivitas lain (63% menjadi 83%), dan siswa menggunakan hand signal dengan tertib (78% menjadi 87%). Selain itu, dalam penerapannya konsekuensi perilaku harus diberikan secara konsisten sehingga siswa lebih disiplin dalam belajar./In the teaching and learning process, discipline is necessary. Students that are disciplined able to show obedience to the rules that apply in the classroom. However, the reality is that discipline problems still occur frequently in grade VI A of a Christian elementary school in Tomohon. Students showed discipline problems such as talking to their friends, doing other activities while learning takes place, and not using hand signal appropriately. These problems can hinder the learning process from running smoothly. Therefore, the researcher applied behavioral consequence to improve students’ learning discipline. The behavioral consequence was applied in accordance with student behavior. Students who were discipline were given positive reinforcement namely reward, meanwhile students who were not discipline were given punishment. This research uses Pelton’s model of classroom action research, which consists of five steps of action research: issue identification, data collection, action planning, plan activation, and outcomes assessment. This research was carried out in two periods of implementation, each of which consists of three meetings. The subjects of this study are 30 students – 16 females and 14 males. The results of this research shows that behavioral consequence can improve the learning discipline of grade VI A students in one of the Christian elementary school in Tomohon. It can be seen from the percentage of average in actions I and II, that is: students do not talk to their friends when learning takes place (69% to 95%), students do not do other activities (63% to 83%), and students use hand signal appropriately (78% to 87%). In addition, the implementation of behavioral consequence must be given consistenly so that students will be more discipline in learning.
