Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan suatu daya dorong dari dalam maupun luar diri seseorang untuk belajar. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya perubahan perilaku siswa dalam mencapai suatu tujuan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Hal tersebut terlihat dari sikap siswa yang tidak fokus di dalam kelas, tidak menyelesaikan tugas dengan baik, dan tidak berkeinginan untuk mengetahui lebih mendalam mengenai materi pada saat pembelajaran. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, maka peneliti menerapkan metode Numbered Heads Together untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dan mengetahui penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Pelton yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 6 September sampai 20 September 2018 dalam tiga kali penerapan. Subyek penelitian adalah 21 siswa kelas V A pada salah satu sekolah dasar di Lampung. Sumber data penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi, dan checklist. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah meningkatnya motivasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan tercapainya indikator motivasi belajar. Adapun indikator motivasi belajar yang diukur yaitu adanya dorongan dan kebutuhan belajar, seperti siswa yang bertanya kepada guru untuk mengetahui materi lebih mendalam. Serta adanya hasrat dan keinginan untuk berhasil seperti siswa yang mengerjakan tugas dengan baik. Selain itu langkah-langkah dari penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together adalah sebagai berikut: (1) penomoran, (2) mengajukan pertanyaan, (3) berpikir bersama, (4) menjawab. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan tercapainya indikator motivasi belajar./ Learning motivation is an impulse from inside or outside of someone to learn. It can be seen from students’ behavior for achieve purpose is change. This research is based on the students’ low learning motivation. It can be seen from the behavior of the students who could not focus in class, did not finish well their assignment, and did not have curiosity about the material at the time of learning. According to that fact, the researcher applied Numbered Heads Together method to overcome this problem and to know how the implementation of Numbered Heads Together method increases student learning motivation. The result of this research is the improvement of students’ learning motivation was held on September 6-20, 2018 for 3 times. The research method was Classroom Action Research (PTK) by Pelton. The data of research were lesson plan, mentor’s feedback, reflection journal, and checklist. The result of this research shows there was the improvement of students’ learning motivation which is showed by the achievement of learning motivation. The indicators of learning motivation are impulse and needs of learning. In instance, students ask the teacher to know more about the material, and also desire and willingness to succeed as students who can do well with their assignments. The steps of Numbered Heads Together method are (1) numbering, (2) asking question, (3) discussion, (4) answering. In conclusion is Numbered Heads Together method increases students’ learning motivation which is showed by achieving the indicators of learning motivation.
