Abstract

Kedisiplinan siswa sangat penting dalam suatu pembelajaran, karena adanya kedisiplinan membuat siswa lebih tertib dan kelas menjadi kondusif. Namun selama melakukan pengajaran, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa masih belum mengikuti aturan yang berlaku di dalam kelas, belum menjaga ketertiban kelas, dan belum memerhatikan guru. Oleh karena itu peneliti berusaha mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan menerapkan Reward and Consequence. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dengan menerapkan reward and consequence dan mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan reward and consequence. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian dilakukan mulai dari 16 Agustus sampai 28 September 2018 dengan dua kali penerapan tindakan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IB Sekolah Dasar Kristen Ora Et Labora Tangerang yang terdiri dari 17 siswa diantaranya 9 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik mentor, lembar ceklis mentor, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Reward and Consequence dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas IB Sekolah Dasar Kristen Ora Et Labora Tangerang. Persentase yang diperoleh dari hasil ceklis mentor pada penerapan tindakan I yaitu, indikator 1 sebesar 76%, indikator 2 sebesar 79,50%, dan indikator 3 sebesar 53%. Pada saat penerapan tindakan II, diperoleh persentase indikator 1 sebesar 76,50%, indikator 2 sebesar 80%, dan indikator 3 sebesar 62%. Sedangkan, langkah-langkah penerapan reward and consequence yang digunakan adalah: menyampaikan aturan kelas, menyampaikan reward and consequence, menyetujui reward and consequence, memberikan teguran, memberikan konsekuensi duduk di meja paling depan, melepas satu sticker, dan memberikan reward. Kata Kunci: Disiplin, Reward and Consequenc./ Student discipline is very important in learning, because the discipline makes students more orderly and class becomes conducive. But during teaching, researchers found that students still did not follow the rules that apply in the classroom, did not mantain class order, and did not pay attention to the teacher. Therefore, researcher try to resolve the problems by applying reward and consequence. The purpose of this research is to increase the students’ discipline with applying reward and consequence and to know the steps to apply reward and consequence. The method that used by researchers is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Robert P. Pelton. The research was conducted twice the application of actions, start from August 16 until September 28 2018. The subjects in this research were grade IB students in Sekolah Dasar Kristen Ora Et Labora Tangerang, which consist of 17 students including 9 male students and 8 female students. The instruments used in this research were the lesson plan, mentor’s feedback, mentor’s checklist, and researcher reflection journal. The results of this research indicate that the application of reward and consequence can improve the discipline of grade IB students at Sekolah Dasar Kristen Ora Et Labora Tangerang. The percentage obtained in the application of action II in indicator 1 was 76,50%, indicator 2 was 80%, and indicator 3 was 62%. The steps to apply reward and consequence are: deliver the class’ procedure, deliver reward and consequence, assent reward and consequence, give warning, give consequence of sit at the table in the front, take off one sticker, and give reward.
