Abstract

Disiplin belajar sangat penting saat proses pembelajaran karena dengan adanya disiplin belajar, proses pembelajaran menjadi efektif, kelas menjadi kondusif dan pada akhirnya tujuan dari pembelajaran menjadi tercapai. Namun permasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah rendahnya disiplin belajar siswa saat proses pembelajaran. Para siswa sering melakukan aktivitas yang tidak berhubungan dengan pembelajaran, meninggalkan tempat duduk saat proses pembelajaran, siswa menjawab pertanyaan atau mengeluarkan pendapat tanpa izin guru, dan mengobrol saat proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa melalui penerapan token ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). PTK dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam praktik mengajar dan menemukan solusi untuk mengatasi masalah yang terjadi di dalam kelas. Model PTK yang digunakan adalah model Pelton yang dilaksanakan dalam lima tahapan yaitu tahap identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencaaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan assesmen luaran. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV A di salah satu SD Kristen di Tomohon yang terdiri dari 20 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, jurnal refleksi, RPP, dan umpan balik mentor. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan statistik sederhana secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan dari setiap indikator disiplin belajar dari penerapan tindakan satu ke penerapan tindakan kedua yaitu untuk indikator 1 dari 68.3% menjadi 88.3%, indikator 2 dari 68.3% menjadi 86.7%, indikator 3 dari 80% menjadi 85%, dan indikator 4 dari 83.3% menjadi 91.7%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan token ekonomi dapat meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa dengan melakukan setiap tahapan yang disertai dengan kekonsistenan dan ketegasan./ The discipline of study is very important in learning process because of it, the process of learning will be effective, the classroom will be conducive and at the end, the goals of learning process will be achieved. However, the problems that always happened in the classroom were lack of discipline among students during the process of learning. The students always did many unrelated activities, left their seats, answering and giving their opinions without teacher’s permission, and talking during the learning process. This research has been implemented to improve students’ discipline through the use of economy token. This research used Classroom Action Research method (CAR). CAR was used to improve teacher’s capability in teaching practices and in finding solutions for solving the problem in the classroom. The model of CAR that used is Pelton’s model by using its five stages which are Issue Identification, Data Collection, Action Planning, Plan Activation, and Outcome Assessment. The subject of this research was grade IV A in a Christian School in Tomohon that consisted of 20 students. Instruments used were observation sheet, reflection journal, lesson plan, and mentor feedback. This research has been analyzed by using qualitative method and simple statistics in descriptive way. The result showed improvement from each indicator of discipline study from the first implementation to the second implementation which for indicator 1 from 68.3% to 88.3%, indicator 2 from 68.3% to 86.7%, indicator 3 from 80% to 85%, indicator 4 from 83.3% to 91.7%. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of economy token could improve student’s discipline study with the consistency and firmness in teaching.
