Abstract

Keaktifan belajar merupakan unsur penting yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Ketercapaian tujuan dan keefektifan proses pembelajaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh keaktifan belajar siswa. Namun, pada kenyataannya sebagian besar siswa kelas XI IPA di SLH Kampung Harapan belum menunjukkan sikap aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran seperti mengantuk, ke luar masuk kelas, tidak melakukan instruski dengan baik dan sebagainya. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode TGT dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dan langkah penerapan TGT yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) oleh Pelton. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLH Kampung Harapan pada tanggal 07 Agustus hingga 17 September 2018 dengan subjek penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA berjumlah 15 orang siswa. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi, wawancara, lembar observasi dan angket siswa. Berdasarkan analisis setiap sumber data diperoleh hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa. Memperhatikan penjelasan guru mengalami peningkatan dari 78,22% menjadi 83,1%. Bertanya dan menjawab mengalami peningkatan dari 70% menjadi 82,66% dan melakukan instruksi guru juga meningkat dari 71,65% menjadi 79,33%./ Learning activeness is important substance that should be owned by the students. The achievement and effectiveness of the learning process are influenced by the students’ learning activeness. However, the fact was most of the class XI IPA students in SLH Kampung Harapan have not active yet in the teaching and learning process, whereas sleepy, in and out of the class, not doing the instruction well, etc. Facing those facts, the researcher implemented the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) as a solution to improve students’ learning activeness. This research was aimed to know whether TGT method improve students’ learning activeness and the steps of the implementation of the TGT method in improving students’ learning activeness. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) of Pelton. This research was done in SLH Kampung Harapan from August 7 until September 17, 2018 involving 15 students of class XI IPA. The instruments of the research used were mentor’s feedback, reflection journal, interview, observation sheet, and students’ questionnaire. Based on the analysis of each data source, there was the improvement in students’ learning activeness. Paying attention to the teacher’s explanation improved from 78.22% to 83.1%. Asking and answering question imrpved from 70% to 82.66%. Moreover, doing the teacher’s instruction also improved from 71.65% to 79.33%.
