Abstract

Kedisiplinan belajar merupakan hal penting yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa dalam kelas. Kedisiplinan dalam belajar dapat membuat siswa menjadi lebih fokus sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam pembelajaran. Dalam setiap pembelajarannya peneliti mengamati perilaku berulang yang dilakukan oleh siswa seperti, tidak mengerjakan PR, sibuk mengobrol, ribut, serta tidak mendengarkan maupun melakukan instruksi dan prosedur di dalam kelas. Tujuan peneliti menerapkan peraturan kelas adalah untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model penelitian Pelton yang terdiri dari lima tahap penelitian berupa identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perancangan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan assesmen luaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Agustus sampai 10 Oktober 2018 dengan tiga kali penerapan. Siswa terdiri dari 16 orang laki-laki dan 16 orang perempuan di kelas VIII SMP pada salah satu sekolah Kristen di Medan. Sumber data yang digunakan peneliti adalah RPP, lembar umpan balik guru mentor, jurnal refleksi peneliti, lembar observasi mentor, dan lembar checklist. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan peraturan dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas VIII. Kedisiplinan belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan langkah menyiapkan daftar peraturan sebelum pembelajaran, menyampaikan aturan pada semua siswa pada saat pembelajaran, menampilkan jenis penguatan maupun konsekuensi yang akan diberikan, memberi penguatan maupun konsekuensi, serta menerapkan secara konsisten./Discipline in learning is an important aspect that is needed by students in the class. Discipline in learning can make students more focus so they can improve their abilities in learning. In each lesson, the researcher observes repeated undisciplined behaviors carried out by students such as not doing homework, chatting with their classmates, being noisy, and do not listen or follow the instructions and procedures set in the classroom. The purpose of the researcher applying classroom rules is to improve students discipline during learning. The research method used in this thesis is the classroom action research, which according to Pelton, the five steps of research are issue identification, data collection, action planning, plan activation, and outcome assesment. The research was conducted on August 21 to October 10, 2018 with three cycles. The class is consist of 16 males and 16 females, grade VIII at one of the Christian Schools in Medan. The sources used by researcher are RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran), teachers mentor feedback sheet, researcher reflection journal, mentor observation sheet, and checklist sheet. The results of the research indicates that the implementation of classroom rules can improve students’ discipline in grade VIII learning. Students’ discipline in learning can be improved by preparing a set of rules given to all students before the lesson, convey rules to all students during the lesson, display the types of reinforcement and consequences that will be given, give enforcement and consequences, and apply it consistently throughout the lesson.
