Abstract

Kegiatan menulis adalah salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang sangat penting. Hasil pengamatan siswa kelas III menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesukaan siswa terhadap menulis masih rendah. Siswa menganggap menulis sebagai hal yang melelahkan. Siswa lebih mengandalkan kemampuan berbahasa sehari-hari sehingga memengaruhi hasil tulisan. Siswa kesulitan ketika membuat kalimat. Media gambar seri dapat membantu siswa menguraikan dan memperjelas jalan dari sebuah cerita sehingga memudahkan siswa saat menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf sederhana siswa kelas III pada pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart yang berlangsung dalam dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas III pada sebuah sekolah dasar dari tanggal 3 Agustus 2015 hingga tanggal 15 November 2015. Siswa yang mengikuti penelitian berjumlah 22 orang yang terdiri dari 8 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah lembar kerja siswa, daftar centang, angket siswa, dan jurnal refleksi. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah media gambar seri dan kemampuan menulis paragraf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar seri dalam penelitian dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf siswa pada pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Peningkatan ini dilihat dari hasil setiap indikator kemampuan menulis paragraf dari siklus satu dan siklus dua mencapai baik dengan nilai 61-80% serta mengalami peningkatan. Penerapan media gambar seri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf sederhana dengan memperhatikan beberapa hal yaitu media gambar seri yang digunakan dapat mengarahkan siswa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran, sesuai minat, kondisi, kebutuhan siswa dan memerhatikan efektifitas dan efesien bagi siswa dalam menulis serta sesuai dengan kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikannya. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan setiap indikator penelitian media gambar seri mencapai kriteria keberhasilan baik dengan nilai 61- 80%. / Writing is one important language skill. Based on observation in student grade III, shows that their eagerness to writing is low. Students think that writing is very tiring. Students tend to use their everyday language ability so it is affect their writing, and students feel difficult to make sentences. Series picture media can help students explain clearly and clarify a path of story to facilitate students when they are writing. The purpose of this research is to increase student’s ability of writing simple paragraph in grade 3 on Indonesian language lesson. Method used in this research is Classroom Action Research model Kemmis and Taggart that held on two cycles. Research held in third grade of an elementary school from 3 rd August 2015 until 15th November 2015. Students who participated in this research are 22 students which consist of 8 male students and 14 female students. Instrument used in this research are students worksheet, checklist, students questionnaire, and journal reflection. Variable in this research are series picture media and ability to write paragraph. Result of this research shows that used of series picture media in this research able to increase students ability on write paragraph in Indonesian language lesson. It shows in the result of every indicator of writing ability in writing paragraph from 1st cycle and 2nd cycle it reach 61 – 80 % which means Good and it is improved. The implementation of Series Media Picture can improved the ability of writing simple paragraph which concern several things. Those are the series picture media used can direct the students to get the learning objectives appropriate with the lesson, interest, condition, students need, and concern about the effectiveness and the efficiency for the students in writing along with the ability of the teacher in operating it. It shows in the improvement of every indicator research, series media picture reach the good success criteria with score 61 – 80 % .
