Abstract

Keaktifan merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam sebuah pembelajaran IPS karena IPS merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari hal-hal yang bersifat sosial yang menuntut seseorang berperan aktif dalam komunitas sosialnya. Namun, kondisi aktif tersebut belum didapati di sekolah X Gunungsitoli Utara. Siswa masih cenderung pasif meskipun pembelajaran interaktif dan diskusi telah diterapkan di dalam kelas. Adanya dominasi siswa dalam diskusi menyebabkan sebagian siswa menjadi pasif dan tidak berkontribusi dalam diskusi kelompok. Akibatnya, siswa juga tidak bisa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dibutuhkan strategi pembelajaran Time Token untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa melalui penerapan strategi Time Token pada pembelajaran IPS dan untuk mengetahui proses penerapan strategi pembelajaran Time Tokenmelalui tahap-tahapannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model spiral Kemmis dan McTaggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 September hingga 02 Oktober 2015. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, lembar angket, lembar umpan balik dan jurnal refleksi. Sumber data diperoleh dari guru mentor, wakakur, siswa dan peneliti sendiri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan strategi pembelajaran Time Tokendapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa mencapai 81,8%-100% dan penerapannya mengikuti tahap-tahap strategi pembelajaran Time Token. / Activeness is an important thingin a social studies because it is the study of things that are social that requires a person actively involved in the social community. However, the expected is yet found in School X Gunungsitoli Utara. The students tend to be passive even tough the interactive learning and discussion had been implemented in the classroom. There were dominant students during the discussion made the rest of the students tend to be passive and could not give contribution in the group discussion. As a result, the students could not achieve the learning objective. This problem needs to be covered, then it needed a research about the implementation of Time Tokenlearning strategy to increase students’ activeness. The purpose of this research is to improve the students’ activeness through implementation of Time Token learning strategy in socialscience learning and to know the process of implementing a Time Token learning strategy through their stages. The research used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) of Kemmis and McTaggart model. This research was conducted from September 10th - October 2nd 2015. The subject of this research was 22 students of the sixth�grade. The Instrument used of observation sheet, interview sheet, questionnaire sheet, feedback sheet, and journal reflection. Data were collected from mentor teacher, curriculum coordinate, students and the researcher. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of Time Token learning strategies can enhance students' activity reached 81.8%-100% and its implementation to follow the steps of Time Token learning strategies.
