Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi di Kindergarten 1 pada sekolah Kristen terdapat masalah kurangnya pengendalian diri siswa yang menyebabkan timbulnya perilaku menyimpang dalam pembelajaran. Pengendalian diri penting karena melaluinya siswa mampu bertindak adaptif dan menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Sebagai orang percaya pengendalian diri membawa kepada penyatuan kehendak individu dengan KehendakNya. Tujuan penulisan ini yaitu memaparkan upaya guru dalam melatih pengendalian diri siswa melalui metode pembiasaan. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitan kualitatif deskriptif. Pendidikan kristen mengatakan bahwa siswa usia dini sudah memiliki dosa bawaan dan mereka terdampak dalamnya sehingga dengan pelatihan pengendalian diri akan menolong siswa untuk kembali pada kondisi seharusnya. Berdasarkan hasil dalam pembahasan, pengendalian diri siswa usia dini menjadi lebih baik ketika diberikan perlakuan yaitu pembiasaan. Metode pembiasaan dapat menolong siswa mampu mengendalikan diri dengan mengacu pada indikator pengendalian diri siswa usia dini dan menyadarkan dirinya akan identitas imagodei. Terlebih, dengan adanya keteladanan dan kekonsistenan guru dalam metode tersebut menjadi sesuai karena perkembangan siswa usia dini yang cenderung meniru dengan cepat hal yang terjadi di lingkungannya. Adapun saran untuk peneliti selajutnya adalah peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian dengan jangka waktu yang lebih panjang untuk mendapatkan hasil yaitu siswa mampu mengendalikan diri. / Based on observations in kindergarten 1 at a Christian school there were problems related to self-control of students which causes deviant behavior in learning. Self-control is important because through its students are able to act adaptively and become a better person in daily life. As believers, self-control leads to the unification of individual will with His Will. The purpose of this writing is to explain the teacher's efforts in training students' self-control through the habituation method. This writing uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Christian education says that early childhood students already have innate sin, and they are affected by it so that self-control training will help students return to their proper condition. Based on the results in the discussion, early childhood students' self-control becomes better when given treatment, namely habituation. The steps and principles of habituation can help students be able to control themselves by referring to the indicators of self-control of early childhood students and making themselves aware of the identity of imago dei. Moreover, the existence of exemplary and consistent teachers in the method is appropriate because of the development of early childhood students who tend to quickly imitate things that happen in their environment. The suggestion for future researchers is that future researchers can conduct research with a longer period to find out the deeply results of the research.
