Abstract

Keaktifan belajar siswa adalah hal yang penting karena menjadi salah satu faktor berhasilnya suatu pembelajaran, namun kenyataan yang ditemukan masih banyak siswa yang belum aktif di kelas. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di satu TK Kristen di Tangerang, terlihat siswa berlari di sekeliling kelas, mengganggu teman, tidak menjawab pertanyaan guru, dan tidak mengikuti instruksi yang diberikan dengan tepat. Solusi yang dilakukan untuk permasalahan ini yaitu memanfaatkan media visual dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuannya yaitu untuk memaparkan penggunaan media pembelajaran visual sebagai upaya mengembangkan keaktifan belajar siswa TK di Tangerang dan mengkaji hasil penggunaan media pembelajaran visual untuk mengembangkan keaktifan belajar siswa TK di Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil rata- rata keaktifan belajar siswa pada pertemuan 1 sebesar 65% atau kategori cukup, pertemuan 2 sebesar 73% atau kategori tinggi, dan pertemuan 3 sebesar 98% atau kategori sangat tinggi. Penggunaan media visual mampu menarik perhatian siswa, antusiasme, dan mendorong siswa untuk memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Dengan begitu, media pembelajaran visual mampu mengembangkan keaktifan belajar siswa terlihat dari sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan. Sebelumnya rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 50% dengan kategori rendah, kemudian berkembang menjadi 79% dengan kategori tinggi. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya yaitu melakukan penelitian mengenai penggunaan media visual yang dikombinasikan dengan strategi atau metode pembelajaran yang lebih beragam dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar siswa./Student learning activity is important because it is one of the factors in the success of learning, but the reality is that there are still many students who are not active in class. Based on observations at a Christian kindergarten in Tangerang, students were seen running around the classroom, disturbing their friends, not answering the teacher's questions, and not following the instructions given correctly. The solution to this problem is to utilize visual media in the learning process. The aim is to explain the use of visual learning media as an effort to develop the active learning of kindergarten students in Tangerang and examine the results of using visual learning media to develop the active learning of kindergarten students in Tangerang. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The average result of student learning activity at meeting 1 was 65% or sufficient category, meeting 2 was 73% or high category, and meeting 3 was 98% or very high category. The use of visual media is able to attract students' attention, enthusiasm, and encourage students to understand the material better. In this way, visual learning media is able to develop students' active learning, visible before and after use. Previously, the average student learning activity was 50% in the low category, then it grew to 79% in the high category. Suggestions for further researchers are to conduct research on the use of visual media combined with learning strategies or methods that are more diverse and in accordance with students' learning characteristics.
