Abstract

Peran guru sebagai penuntun selama proses pembelajaran berarti bahwa guru perlu memikirkan metode yang sesuai untuk diterapkan kepada siswa. Penerapan metode demonstrasi disesuaikan dengan siswa TK usia 4-5 tahun dan permasalahan konsentrasi siswa yang ditemukan di dalam kelas. Media powerpoint yang digunakan merupakan alat bantu untuk menyajikan gambar/teks/video untuk menarik perhatian siswa yang sulit untuk konsentrasi pada saat pembelajaran. Efektivitas penerapan metode ini ditunjukkan dengan terbangunnya interaksi yang baik selama pembelajaran. Selain itu, penerapan metode ini bertujuan untuk melatih siswa untuk taat terhadap instruksi yang diberikan oleh guru pada saat pembelajaran. Penerapan metode untuk membantu mengoptimalkan potensi dalam diri siswa, merupakan salah satu cara yang dilakukan untuk memaknai peran guru Kristen sebagai panggilan dari Tuhan. Tujuan penulisan ini yaitu memaparkan penerapan metode demonstrasi di kelas dengan media powerpoint untuk melatih konsentrasi siswa TK. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan bukti yang dilampirkan dalam bentuk portofolio yang terdiri dari RPP, lembar observasi, lembar refleksi mengajar, LKS, dan umpan balik mentor. Pada saat penerapannya, metode demonstrasi di kelas dengan media powerpoint dapat melatih konsentrasi siswa di TK. Adapun saran untuk penulisan selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil LKS berkaitan dengan meningkatkan keterampilan motorik siswa. / The role of the teacher as a guide during the learning process means that teacher need to think about approppriate method to be applied to students. Application of the demonstration method adjusted to the kindergarden students 4-5 years old and based on the problem of student unfocus in the classroom. The powerpoint is a media used as a tool to present image/text/videos to attract the attention of students who have difficulty concentrating during learning. The efectiveness of applying this method, shown with the good interaction during learning. Besides that, the application of this method aims to train students to obey the instructions by the teacher. Application of the method to optimize student’s potential is one way to interpret the role as a Christian educator. The purpose of this writing is to explain the application of the demonstration method in the classroom with powerpoint to train the concentration of kindergarden students. The method used in this writing is descriptive qualitative research method with evidence attached in the portfolio, consisting of lesson plans, observation sheets, teaching reflection sheets, worksheets and mentor feedback. In the application of this method, the demonstration method in the classroom with powerpoint can train the concentration of kindergarden students. The suggestions for further writing based on the results of the LKS related to improving student’s motor skills.
