Abstract

Transisi pembelajaran daring ke luring mengakibatkan siswa kurang mendapatkan stimulus untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri mereka. Siswa memerlukan stimulus yang diakomodasi oleh guru melalui pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan penulisan paper ini adalah untuk menjelaskan mengapa dan bagaimana peran Guru Kristen sebagai in loco parentis dalam menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas melalui kajian literatur filosofis dan teologis. Guru Kristen perlu memahami adanya kemerosotan karakter dalam diri manusia akibat kejatuhan dalam dosa sehingga perlu yang namanya kelahiran baru. Guru Kristen sebagai in loco parentis perlu mengalami kelahiran baru untuk membawa murid lahir baru lewat proses pembelajaran. Bertumbuhnya kepercayaan diri siswa merupakan bagian dari proses kelahiran baru karena karakter kepercayaan diri merupakan bagian dari rencana Allah dalam hidup manusia yang diciptakan dengan sungguh amat baik. Layaknya orang tua di rumah, guru Kristen dapat menerapkan pengajaran yang mengedepankan kasih, ketegasan, dan memperhatikan kebutuhan siswa yaitu pertumbuhan kepercayaan diri. Beberapa tindakan guru dalam memberikan stimulus seperti menjadi teladan dalam menghargai, memberikan kesempatan untuk berpendapat, memberikan apresiasi, dan kesempatan untuk diskusi kerja kelompok. Walaupun objek pertumbuhan karakter kepercayaan diri adalah siswa, namun guru Kristen perlu memahami pusat dari pertumbuhan tersebut yaitu Kristus sehingga tujuan utama pertumbuhan kepercayaan diri siswa adalah untuk memuliakan Allah. / The transition from online to offline learning results in students getting less stimulus to grow their self-confidence. Students need a stimulus that is accommodated by the teacher through learning in class. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain why and how the role of Christian teachers as in loco parentis in fostering students' confidence in classroom learning through a study of philosophical and theological literature. Christian teachers need to understand that there is a decline in human character because of falling into sin, so a new birth is needed. Christian teachers as in loco parentis need to experience a new birth to bring newborn students through the learning process. The growth of students' self-confidence is part of the new birth process because the character of self-confidence is part of God's plan for human life which is created very well. Like parents at home, Christian teachers can apply teaching that promotes love, firmness, and pays attention to student's needs, namely the growth of self-confidence. Some of the teacher's actions in providing a stimulus such as being a role model in respect, providing opportunities for opinions, giving appreciation, and opportunities for group work discussions. Even though the object of self-confidence character growth is students, Christian teachers need to understand the center of this growth, namely Christ so that the main goal of growing student self-confidence is to glorify God.
