Abstract

Komunikasi digital merupakan penyampaian serta penerimaan pesan dilakukan dengan melalui cyberspace atau biasa diklaim dunia maya dan dapat dilakukan di mana saja dan kapan saja. Komunikasi digital mengacu pada pertukaran informasi, pesan, atau ide melalui Media digital atau teknologi berbasis internet. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan memahami peran komunikasi melalui media sosial TikTok dalam perkembangan kepribadian remaja. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif untuk mengetahui situasi subyek penelitian dengan lebih mendalam melalui wawancara terhadap 3 narasumber remaja dan 1 narasumber ahli. Hasil penelitian yaitu komunikasi media sosial Tiktok memainkan peran penting terhadap perkembangan remaja dengan membawa dampak baik dan buruk, sehingga perlu ditingkatkan pengawasan terhadap penggunaan media sosial remaja melalui pengendalian diri, pengawasan orangtua dan pengaruh lingkungan sekitar./Digital communication is the delivery and reception of messages via cyberspace or what is usually called cyberspace and can be done anywhere and at any time. Digital communication refers to the exchange of information, messages, or ideas through digital media or internet-based technology. The aim of this research is to analyze and understand the role of communication via TikTok social media in the development of teenagers' personalities. The research method that will be used is a descriptive-qualitative research method to find out the situation of the research subjects in more depth through interviews with 3 youth sources and 1 expert source. The results of the research are that Tiktok social media communication plays an important role in adolescent development by bringing both good and bad impacts, so it is necessary to increase supervision of adolescents' use of social media through self-control, parental supervision and the influence of the surrounding environment.
