Abstract

A teacher should have the intention to keep working in a school for a long time. Therefore, the teacher should have a balanced life between work and his personal life. In addition, the teacher should have high job satisfaction and attachment to work so that he stays in his job. The intention to stay is related to many factors, including work-life balance, job satisfaction, and job embeddedness. This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance, job satisfaction, and job embeddedness on the intention to stay teachers. The research subjects were 52 teachers who taught at an XYZ Senior High School in Tangerang, where teachers were identified as having less intention to stay. The research design used is PLSSEM method with a quantitative approach. The results obtained showed that work-life balance positively affected job embeddedness, job embeddedness positively influenced intention to stay, work-life balance positively affects the intention to stay, work-life balance positively affected job satisfaction, job satisfaction positively affected intention to stay, work-life balance positively affects the intention to stay through job embeddedness, and work-life balance positively affects the intention to stay through job satisfaction. / Seorang guru seharusnya memiliki intensi untuk tetap bekerja di sebuah sekolah dalam jangka waktu lama. Oleh karena itu, guru seharusnya memiliki kehidupan yang seimbang antara pekerjaan dengan kehidupan pribadinya. Selain itu, guru juga seharusnya memiliki job satisfaction dan kelekatan terhadap pekerjaan yang tinggi sehingga ia tetap bertahan dalam menjalankan pekerjaannya. Intention to stay tersebut berkaitan dengan banyak faktor, di antaranya work-life balance, job satisfaction, dan job embeddedness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work-life balance, job satisfaction, dan job embeddedness terhadap intention to stay guru. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah 52 guru yang mengajar di sebuah Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta XYZ di Tangerang, di mana teridentifikasi guru yang kurang memiliki intention to stay. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah PLS-SEM dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance memengaruhi job embeddedness secara positif, job embeddedness memengaruhi intention to stay secara positif, work-life balance memengaruhi intention to stay secara positif, work-life balance memengaruhi job satisfaction secara positif, job satisfaction memengaruhi intention to stay secara positif, work-life balance memengaruhi intention to stay melalui job embeddedness secara positif, work-life balance memengaruhi intention to stay melalui job satisfaction secara positif.
