Abstract

Saat ini bahasa Mandarin banyak diajarkan di sekolah di Indonesia, tetapi mayoritas sekolah masih menggunakan buku ajar terbitan luar negeri, seperti dari Tiongkok, Taiwan, dan Singapura. Hal ini menyebabkan materi yang diajarkan kurang relevan dengan karakteristik siswa di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang serupa terjadi di SMP XYZ. Dari hasil analisis kebutuhan, diketahui bahwa saat ini SMP XYZ masih menggunakan buku ajar terbitan luar negeri dalam pembelajaran, akibatnya siswa merasa materi pembelajaran kurang relevan dengan keseharian siswa, seperti penggunaan tempat yang asing dalam percakapan dan budaya makan yang berbeda. Selain itu, materi juga dirasa kurang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan dasar bahasa Mandarin siswa, di mana materi hanya mampu memenuhi kebutuhan sebagian siswa saja, yaitu siswa pemula, siswa tingkat menengah, atau tingkat atas. Karena itu, dibutuhkan pengembangan buku ajar untuk menutup kesenjangan yang ada. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan model ADDIE. Model ADDIE tersusun dari tahap-tahap yang juga sesuai diterapkan untuk pengembangan pembelajaran, sehingga cocok digunakan dalam pengembangan buku ajar. Produk penelitian ini adalah buku ajar bahasa Mandarin dasar yang dirancang untuk dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran dalam penerapan pembelajaran individual kepada siswa kelas VII di SMP XYZ. Uji kelayakan produk dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yang terdiri atas uji validitas oleh beberapa ahli dan uji coba produk yang dilakukan dua kali secara bertahap, yaitu uji coba satu-satu dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Tahap pengujian selalu dilanjutkan dengan proses evaluasi dan revisi produk. Revisi produk didasarkan pada saran dari ahli, saran dan komentar siswa, serta catatan lapangan selama uji coba. Dengan demikian, diharapkan buku ajar hasil pengembangan layak digunakan oleh siswa kelas VII di SMP XYZ dalam pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin secara individual. / Currently, Mandarin is taught in many schools in Indonesia, but the majority of schools still use textbooks published in foreign countries, such as from China, Taiwan and Singapore. This causes the material taught to be less relevant to the characteristics of students in Indonesia. A similar problem occurred in SMP XYZ. From the results of the needs analysis, it is known that currently XYZ Junior High School still uses textbooks published abroad in learning, as a result students feel that the learning material is less relevant to students' daily lives, such as the use of foreign places in conversation and different eating cultures. In addition, the material is also deemed not in accordance with the students' basic level of ability in Mandarin, where the material is only able to meet the needs of some students, namely beginner students, middle level students, or upper level students. Therefore, the development of textbooks is needed to close the existing gaps. Development is done with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model is composed of stages that are also suitable for learning development, so it is suitable for use in textbook development. The product of this research is a basic Mandarin textbook designed to be used as learning material in the application of individual learning to class VII students at SMP XYZ. The product feasibility test is carried out in three stages, consisting of validity testing by several experts and product testing which is carried out twice in stages, namely one-on-one trials and small group trials. The testing phase is always followed by a product evaluation and revision process. Product revisions are based on expert advice, student suggestions and comments, and field notes during the pilot. Thus, it is hoped that the developed textbooks are suitable for use by grade VII students at XYZ Middle School in learning Mandarin individually.
