Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang menganut sistem demokrasi, karena itu pemerintahan Indonesia dipilih oleh rakyat dalam sistem pemilihan umum (Pemilu). Karena itu rakyat dapat menyalurkan hak suara politiknya dengan aman dan bebas. Sehingga rakyat Indonesia memiliki kesempatan hak suaranya dalam pilihannya dengan menyalurkan hak politiknya, tanpa ada paksaan atau pengaruh dari kelompok-kelompok pada kepentingan tertentu. Dalam perwujudan demokrasi, media memiliki kesempatan dalam memberikan informasi tanpa adanya tekanan. Kebebasan media dalam memberitakan tidak sepenuhnya bebas. Hal ini sebuah media juga mempunyai aturan-aturan yang memiliki fungsi dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Dalam memberikan informasi wartawan juga dituntut untuk memberitakan perlu adanya objektivitas. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir pemberitaan pada pilkada banyak yang tidak objektif, dikarenakan media-media lokal banyak yang berpihak pada setiap calon. Sehingga peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana objektivitas media Tangerangnews.com dan Sindonews.com terhadap isi pemberitaan. Metode analisis isi kuantitatif dijelaskan menjadi suatu teknik pada penelitian ilmiah yang diarahkan untuk bertujuan dapat mengetahui sebuah gambaran karakteristik isi dan menarik simpulan dari sebuah isi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Tangerangnews.com dapat memenuhi objektivitas dalam dimensi faktualitas dan imparsialitas. Sedangkan Sindonews.com dalam dimensi faktualitas sudah mampu memenuhi dan dimensi imparsialitas belum mampu dipenuhi secara objektivitas. / Indonesia is a country that adheres to a system of democracy, therefore election of the Indonesian government is powered by the people within the general election system (Election). This system allows the society to convey their political voting rights safely and freely without any influence from groups with certain interests. To demonstrate such system, various media outlets have the opportunity to provide information without any pressure. This freedom does not come without a cost because if media outlets were to function in a democratic society then journalists are required to become objective. However, in recent years, there have been many subjective reports related to regional elections. This is due to the fact that various local media have taken an interest to endorse candidates of their choosing, inattentive to the current system. Therefore, this study is conducted to recognize the objectivity factors related to Tangerangnews.com and Sindonews.com on the content of the news. The study uses quantitative content analysis method to find distinct characteristic of the content and draws conclusions from the content. It can be concluded that Tangerangnews.com can fulfill objectivity in the dimensions of factity and impartiality. While Sindonews.com has been able to fulfill in the dimension of factuality, it fails to fulfill the dimension of impartiality objectively.
