Abstract
Hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan peneliti pada kelas XI IIS SMA ABCKupang, NTT menunjukkan bahwa siswa di kelas tersebut memiliki kesulitan dalam menerapkan konsep menghitung Indeks Harga Konsumen (IHK) dan Inflasi. Untuk memperbaiki masalah yang ditemukan, peneliti melakukan implemetasi metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penerapan konsep IHK dan Inflasi siswa. Selain itu peneliti juga ingin mengetahui cara implementasi STAD sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penerapan konsep siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Proses penelitian dilakukan dari tanggal 14 Oktober 2014 sampai 17 November 2014. Adapun instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data, yaitu lembar observasi guru mentor, lembar angket siswa, lembar wawancara guru mentor, jurnal refleksi, dan lembar tes siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwa Implementasi STAD dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penerapan konsep IHK dan Inflasi siswa kelas XI IIS SMA ABC-Kupang, NTT. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari persentase pencapaian indikator penerapan konsep oleh siswa di kelas tersebut. Implementasi STAD untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penerapan konsep IHK dan Inflasi dilakukan dengan melaksanakan fase-fase STAD, diantaranya: guru menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan memotivasi siswa, menyampaikan materi pelajaran, mengorganisasikan siswa ke dalam kelompok, membimbing siswa di dalam kelompok, memberikan tes individu dan memberikan penghargaan.

The study conducted on grade XI IIS students at ABC High School in Kupang-NTT showed that students in that class have difficulty in applying the concept of counting the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation. To rectify this issue, the STAD Cooperative Learning method is implemented to increasethe ability to to apply the CPI and Inflation concepts within the students. It is also studied how the implementation of STAD is able to increase conceptual learning and application within students. The research method conducted in this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Kemmis and Taggart which is done in two cycles.the study was done from October 14th, 2014 to November 17th, 2014. The research instruments used to obtain data were observation sheet, student questionnaire sheet, mentor teacher interview sheet, reflection journal, and student test sheet. Based on the observation results, it is concluded that the implementation of STAD is successful in increasing the application of the CPI and Inflation concepts within grade XI students at ABC High School in Kupang-NTT. The improvement can be observed through the increase of percentage achievement indicators of concepts application by students. The implementation of STAD to improve conceptual learning of CPI and Inflation is done by the STAD phases, including the explanation of the learning objectives and motivation, delivering the teaching materials, organizing students into groups, guiding students within the groups, examining and giving rewards.
