Usia remaja merupakan usia transisi dari usia kanak-kanak menuju dewasa. Pada usia ini, terdapat tugas perkembangan yang harus diselesaikan yaitu menghadapi krisis identitas dimana perkembangan sense of self sangat diperlukan pada usia ini. Salah satunya adalah perkembangan konsep diri. Konsep diri terdiri atas empat aspek yaitu aspek fisik, sosial, moral dan psikis dimana keempat aspek tersebut akan mendorong pembentukan konsep diri positif maupun negatif. Salah satu faktor yang mendorong pembentukan konsep diri seseorang adalah orang tua dimana salah satunya adalah keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan. Keterlibatan ayah meliputi dimensi engagement, accessibility dan responsibility. Namun, remaja yatim yang tidak memiliki ayah memiliki ayah merasakan absensi dari keterlibatan ayah dimana pada usia tersebut keterlibatan ayah sangat diperlukan dalam pembentukan konsep diri. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh keterlibatan ayah terhadap konsep diri remaja SMP yatim di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 114 partisipan berkarakteristik remaja SMP berusia 12-15 tahun, berstatus anak yatim (ayah meninggal sejak usia 5 hingga 15 tahun) dan berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan alat ukur Skala Keterlibatan Ayah (SKA) dan Skala Konsep Diri. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terhadap pengaruh keterlibatan ayah terhadap konsep diri remaja SMP yatim di Jabodetabek (R2=.067, b=.102, p=.006; p<.05). Hasil analisis lain terkait dengan dua variabel juga didiskusikan dalam penelitian ini/Adolescence is a transitional age from childhood to adulthood. At this age, there is a developmental task that must be completed, namely facing an identity crisis where the development of a sense of self is indispensable at this age. One of them is the development of self-concept. Self-concept consists of four aspects, namely physical, social, moral, and psychological aspects, where these four aspects will encourage the formation of positive and negative self-concepts. One of the factors that encourage the formation of a person's self-concept is parents, one of which is the involvement of the father in parenting. Father's involvement includes dimensions of engagement, accessibility, and responsibility. However, adolescent orphans who does not have father have felt the absence of the involvement of the father where at that age the involvement of the father is very necessary for the formation of self-concept. Therefore, this study aims to see how influence of father involvement on the self-concept of orphan junior high school adolescents in Jabodetabek. This study was conducted on 114 participants with characteristics of junior high school adolescents aged 12-15 years, orphans (father died from the age of 5 to 15 years), and domiciled in Jabodetabek. The design of this research is quantitative by measuring the Skala Keterlibatan Ayah (SKA) and Self-Concept Scale. The results of this study indicate that the effect of father involvement on the self-concept of orphan junior high school adolescents in Jabodetabek (R2 = .067, b = .102, p = .006; p <.05). The results of other analyzes related to the two variables are also discussed in this study.
