Abstract
In ordering a hotel through online application is a very reasonable thing that Y
generation did in fulfilling their needs. Online application is one of the online hotel
booking medium which is currently popular in Indonesia. In choosing suitable online
applications, consumers are faced with various offers in terms of promos, discounts,
ease of booking hotels, ease of making payments and fast process, different from the
situation where we have to phone and dating directly to the hotel which takes a long
time and process at in the real world. This research was conducted to see how Y
generation in booking hotel through online application, whether it be more effective
or not and how the impact or effect caused after experience in using the online
application.
This study takes a sample of Y generations who are working in a banking
company and have done hotel reservations online located in Jakarta. The main
instrument of data collection is the result of interviewing several respondents. The
numbers of respondents in this study were 10 respondents. Data analysis method used
is to conduct phenomenology study with qualitative data.
From this research can be concluded that the Y generation in spending more
holiday using his vacation for a walk or traveling and hotel reservations through the
application. The basics of the use of online applications is fast, easy, cheap, and able
to meet the needs of generation Y in the search for an appropriate hotel. In addition,
the experiences and experiences described by the respondents all responded
positively and satisfied in using the online application. / Dalam melakukan pemesanan hotel melalui aplikasi online merupakan hal
yang sangat wajar yang dilakukan generasi Y di dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya.
Aplikasi online merupakan salah satu media pemesanan hotel secara online yang saat
ini sedang populer di Indonesia. Dalam memilih aplikasi online yang cocok,
konsumen dihadapkan dengan berbagai penawaran dari segi promo, diskon,
kemudahan memesan hotel, kemudahan melakukan pembayaran dan proses yang
cepat, berbeda dengan situasi dimana kita harus telepon dan dating langsung ke hotel
yang membutuhkan waktu dan proses yang lama di dalam dunia nyata. Penelitian ini
dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana generasi Y di dalam melakukan pemesanan
(booking) hotel melalui aplikasi online, apakah menjadi lebih efektif atau tidak dan
bagaimana dampak atau efek yang ditimbulkan setelah mendapatkan pengalaman
dalam menggunakan aplikasi online tersebut.
Penelitian ini mengambil sampel generasi Y yang sedang bekerja di
perusahaan perbankan dan pernah melakukan pemesanan hotel secara online yang
terletak di Jakarta. Instrumen utama pengumpulan data adalah hasil dari wawancara
beberapa responden. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 responden.
Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan studi fenomenologi
dengan data kualitatif.
Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa generasi Y di dalam
menghabiskan liburannya lebih banyak menggunakan liburannya untuk jalan-jalan
atau traveling dan melakukan pemesanan hotel melalui aplikasi. Adapun dasar-dasar
penggunaan aplikasi online adalah cepat, mudah, murah, dan mampu memenuhi
kebutuhan generasi Y di dalam melakukan pencarian hotel yang sesuai. Selain itu
danpak dan pengalaman yang dijabarkan oleh responden semuanya memberikan
respon yang positif dan puas di dalam menggunakan aplikasi online.
